Great robot fighting game that's overtly pay to win.
Yes that's right. No matter how hard you try to think, the game is overtly pay to win. Wanna keep up with people who swiped their cards? Watch ads to get keys and gold. You better be resourceful and save that gold you get cuz it's gonna be painful when you have none.
Early on it's okay you dominate the matches and have fun. But once you start leveling up you'll be matched against people who have robots that costs gold and weapons that cost gold too. Now who do you think wins? It's obvious, the person who spent a ton of $$$. Now lets say you don't wanna spend, well war robots offers you gold and keys for watching ads. And it's daily, so once you save up enough keys you can either use them to get a chance of getting decent robots or save up to pull for legendary tier weapons that may or may or may not suite your currently owned robots.
Now, this game has been going on for a decade (i faintly remember playing it in 2014) and it's still the same pay 2 win garbage all these years. What's new? More pay to win stuff. With the addition of titans (which the currency for upgrading is hard to get.) It's much more harder to compete with people who've sunked tons of cash. Cuz you'll be facing robots who can absolutely nuke you in a matter of seconds. Or have abilities that completely negate damage. There are even robots that can completely dominate the map by being untargetable and run around enemies while it's allies take out the enemies one by one. Don't get me started on people who afk at spawn shooting rockets that deal insane amount of dps. And either quit the game when someone gets as close as damaging them or immediately change to a titan or another pay to win robot.
If you don't feel like swiping your card, for some virtual currency, then your best bet is just playing and hoping you get lucky with teammates. Other then that your completely at the mercy of matchmaking. And why has their been no proper ranked match?? You immediately get rank points by just playing thrusting alot of players in to a rank where they're completely outmatched or get themselves demoted to lower ranks and pub stomp. Seriously, how is this game still pulling in money? Sunk cost fallacy? I don't even know.
Such a good robot fighting game ruined by it's over monetization and extreme pay to win aspects. Your either forced to quit or bring out that card and swipe. With how blatant they shove in app purchases upon booting the game up, i won't blame you if you have spent quite a few dollars. Just be mindful of your spendings and don't put too much value on virtual currency and numbers. There are better games. This isn't one.
