GTA III – A Classic in the Palm of Your Hand

GTA III is one of the most influential games of its time in the genre of open-world games when it was first released. Now with Netflix cinematic experience on mobile platforms, this masterpiece is here to bring the same. The III version of Grand Theft Auto was created by Rockstar, and this new version is an excellent opportunity to return to Liberty City for newcomers as well as for the regular fans.

The plot of the game places a player on the streets of Liberty City surrounded by violence and corruption. In the game you are an unseen hero with the only mission being to rise through the criminal underworld of the city. This might sound cliché, but it’s the freedom that resonates most with players in the game. As a player, you can either stick to the storyline having to help save Kenji any way you can or wander off around the city robbing cars, shooting policemen and members of the rival gangs.

Still the game has aged perhaps twenty years old now, at least in its PC version which is quite remarkable for a mobile game. Graphically, it may lack the polish of current gen titles to some extent, but the vast sandbox environments and the overarching mission structure should make it an entertaining experience nonetheless. The touch controls are sensitive and while it may be a matter of time before you get used to it, especially if you normally use a console or PC. For those who may feel that it is weird to play a game with just buttons, this version also includes support to external controllers.

The music and the voice acting remain one of the strongest elements of the game, helping to create the tone. The radio stations you can listen to while cruising around Liberty City, however, is still a fun mid-90s feature.

All in all, the show GTA III on Netflix is a wonderful chance to get familiar with one of the best OPEN WORLD games ever. With a rich and detailed plot, interesting and varied missions, and a vast game world the game is sure to appeal to the action and RPG audiences.
