Update: I think I beat the game 👀 there's like 3 stages and it recycles into hard mode. I'll say now that max leveling won't help, you'll have to build your character. Have a healer to lessen the losses you'll endure. Not to heal your characters... but your pride 😅
Update 2: Here's a quick look at my team it's a ragtag group but it works. I'm at 3-5 Hard Mode with this. Had to manual 2-18 still salty about that...
Alright so I honestly waited for the server to open at 1600 JST. Let me say from the first time I am not disappointed in a launch. So with that being said I am semi-excited, but also dog tired, so I'll do my best to give a honest review based off just a few hours of game play. With all that out the way lets get into the disclaimers of the shenanigans.
Disclaimer: With recent issues with Disney and the way they handled the passing of a civilian under their care, by allowing them to still be fed food they were allergic to while also trying to dodge a lawsuit and receiving backlash from the rest of the world I will leave personal opinion out of this but know, Disney you can catch a fade real quick.
So for starters lets get the ratings:
Visuals/Graphics: 7/10
Music: 7/10
Gameplay: 8.5/10
Controls: 6.5/10
Now before I jump in the the detail I want to give people a heads up on how to get the most out this in a free to play manner:
- Get Mulan in the tutorial Gotcha, she has really decent AOE and will carry you early game. Also try and bag a healer Mini Mouse, DJ Mickey, whoever you can. Just long press your charters in the draw and check their skills. You'll only get 3 star draws so dont get too excited. Baymax, Rapunzel, Pooh, Peter Pan, Hero Mickey Mouse, Donald, Goofy, Judy Hopps, and I think like one more but their not important.
- SAVE ALL YOUR GEMS TRUST ME. I had to reset this thing because I realized I messed up BIG time. You don't really need to spend anything and if you air around ch2 you should have like 8k gems. Leave them alone, no touchie with the gotcha.
- Once you have that you'll get to building your people. Micky comes in handy because he is also AOE, for those who's seeing the pattern you get what I'm trying to get at. You no have 2 medium hitters that can basically run hands with anyone and can almost auto play it at this point ( NOTE: get Mulan to lv 35 and everyone else to lv 15-20)
- Now for the leveling. You want to use your POTIONS FIRST after getting to 1-10 of the first chapter fo the game this will unlock you being able to get Pixel Pots which helps you level. Get around... 800? (there's 50-60 you get a round) Mickey at lv 10 can run this in 2 hits. set up a macro and go get some food, I'd like mooncake please and thank you.
- Once you have everyone relatively high levels. You can run it with Ch2 which is as far as I got (I have a job and I work, don't come at me) But this should be enough for you to actually enjoy the game enough to body slam Viral Infected Pete in story 2 (Dude is a menace I swear even at lv46, 500 dmg to Mulan is crazy work)
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this chaotic window in to this game. Now for the short review
Okay So over all I will give this a 8. All things considered that game is good but it doesn't really show you how to "Play" you get a robust general understanding but its enough to hit the ground running. With that being said I hope the information above gives some light on to how you should play. Don't worry about FOMO or thinking you wont get a chance at getting a character, I don't get a collab with this game in the near future. Even if they did, This isn't Kingdom Hearts. Anyway, I really don't have anything negative to say aside from their lack of foresight with how you should prob spend the gems. like come on, all the good stuff you NEED can can be gotten with free gems which is amazing for progression, if you wanna spend money just to hasten it that's fine some things even replenish every day/week/month there no downside to that.
Honestly, this is a first that I'm actually looking and saying "This has genuine potential moving forward" which maybe, could possible boost the TCG game as well. If that's incorporated, Get gems for cards that you have 50-100 would be kind of nice. Maybe a scan feature or something, Anyway happy gaming
