I got one of the few access codes randomly passed out to pre-registered players for the closed early alpha access. So far the gameplay feels great, playing on s24 ultra i can run 120 frames with the standard graphics, feels as smooth or smoother than CODM for comparison, and it's only in it's early alpha state right now. Graphics are beautiful, there is an insane amount of content to play and each character I've played so far is alot of fun. I highly recommend you keep your eyes open for the beta test if you didn't get access to the alpha. Story is not my cup of tea, as it's destiny, but a totally different timeliness separate from the main destiny time-line.

there is a shop yes, obviously we can't buy anything because it's the alpha and we don't keep our progress from the alpha, so they made it impossible to spend money in the alpha test. but to answer your question, yes, there will be microtransactions, not as bad as diablo immortal, but not completely innocent either. I think the main difference with destiny rising as opposed to other gacha element games is that you can earn everything that's bought. not as easily, sure, but you can still get the same things people may pay for. However don't worry too much cause the prices in the store are pretty damn cheap, I mean like good in game deals for 5-10$ that'll get ya some considerable loot.

I know it's just alpha but is there a shop ? does it feel like it's gonna be obnoxious with microtransactions?

Author likedthere is in fact a shop. every garcha style game has a shop and some fairly aggressive sales tactics employed. however the alpha at very least was very generous and I feel you'll be able to keep up fairly well without spending money in game
