It may still be too early to say that Pax Dei won’t have the necessary “juice” to come out as a great game, but you can definitely say that the game is very much “too early” in the early access timeline, even six months later. The expected/necessary grind is immense. It’s a shame, because it seems to nail the aspects of offering a ton of player freedom, there’s more than a dozen professions to choose from, and it’s visually impressive, but seeing that they want to maintain a “classic MMO subscription model” upon release is all the more disappointing based on what’s there and what’s been added since release. I may never come back to this one, but I hope it turns into the perfect experience for those who have the time to invest in it. 2.5, for me, skewed a little towards 3.
