Ill lower the options to a few actions which are (1. hover in place + low speed, fast speed and high-speed flight for movement and soundspeed for dodging, 2. Melee: thrust a, thrust b and thrust c where thrust a negates damage from thrust b, thrust be is same to thrust , and thrust c is to thrust a. Also ill try coding a curving and turning beam attack that needs actual aiming skill to hit and to avoid (like the one in the picture. It will have long cooldown) and the beam curves to the direction the player wants it to using the dpad before it disappears. Change elevation once with a single button press, you can change elevation 11 times.
Less is more but ill add a randomly generated modular map my ai could arrange to many maps  with various combinations mainly not for appearance but for gameplay. Ill try making the characters as low poly as possible again ofc and the map behind them in the picture is asphalt with square buildings 😉 ill add floating cities with the same texture for the map. They're mainly houses for small spirits. Ill add traveling spirits someday which will look like particles for grasping distance travelled and speed, moving from 1 city to the other.

The gameplay requires gyroscope for character movement like traveling, tilt forward to go forward. A dpad for controlling the laser beam. A circle representing the 3, white, anti-gravity items bellow yhe characters, item 1 makes you move slowly or stand still like in the picture, item 2 makes you move in a fast speed and item 3 is high speed. Swipe left and right to pick the suitable item to use.
