SEGA has confirmed that Sonic Rumble, its upcoming free-to-play multiplayer party game, will be released worldwide this spring. The game was initially set for a winter launch but was delayed to improve gameplay and features.
In Sonic Rumble, up to 32 players take control of toy versions of Sonic characters and compete in fast-paced obstacle course challenges, similar to Fall Guys. The game will be available on iOS, Android, and PC (Steam).
SEGA has assured players that there will be no gacha or pay-to-win mechanics. Instead, a fixed-cost system will be used for purchases, ensuring a fair experience for all players.
New Features Coming at Launch:
Quick Rumble – A single-round mode for short and exciting matches.
Rival Rank – A competitive ranking system with rewards.
Crews – A team-based mode where players can group up and earn extra rewards.
Character Abilities – Some characters will have unique abilities (e.g., Amy Rose can use her hammer to stun rivals).
SEGA has thanked fans for their patience and is working hard to deliver an exciting experience. Stay tuned for more updates!
