On the plus side the graphics are pleasant and there are a lot of costumes for the characters as well yes thats right, costumes But as for the deep and polished RPG game of today this is not quite there.
First of all, the mechanics of playing is quite typical for turn-based RPG. The mechanics aren’t complex; however, one cannot say they are engaging or at least challenging in some way. The battles are rather quickly done and rather soon the game starts to feel like a déjà vu after a while. Also, the game has a gacha system for gaining more characters and costumes which is a drawback staying in if the player does not want to spend actual money.
The other major problem is that of how well the game runs, also known as the game’s optimization. Nevertheless, some limitations have been distinguished, namely the observable lags and the loading times, even in high-end devices with relatively simple graphics. This takes away from the whole experience and can leave the player feeling as though the game is unresponsive at the most important time.
The plot could also be developed to a much better standard as well as the story. The concept of magical girls fighting evil is quite engaging, but one gets the feeling that there is a lot going on in the story but it is all over the place. Most of the characters in the movie do their growth in the independent short films, and hence one cannot even begin to understand the protagonists.
On the plus side, there is absolutely no denying that MGCM Magical Girls does have a pretty good art to it. The elements of character design are playful and rather colorful, which will be satisfactory to the followers of the direction. Variable clothing also is more cosmetic but it is one of the plus sides which allow the users to wear special clothes and make the character more unique.
