Order Daybreak – A Sci-Fi Action RPG with High Potential

166 View2025-03-12
Daybreak is an action RPG influenced by sci-fi, as well as melee combat, and customization. Developed by Neocraft, the game promises decent visuals with fluid combat and deep RPG mechanics. While some aspects are really pretty evident, there are quite a few drawbacks that seem to prevent it from being a great game.
Graphics & Visuals
One of the most striking aspects of Order Daybreak is undoubtedly its beautiful graphics. The graphics basically promise highly detailed character models, impressive mech designs, smooth animations that make for an amazing sci-fi world immersive futuristic landscapes, and dynamic lights that give depth to the game's presentation. The nice thing about it is that the combat visuals are eye-catching, adding a cinematic approach to every battle in the game.
The optimized performance has been an issue in this case, as even high-end devices experience frame drops, stuttering, and lags at times, as technical issues make the overall enjoyment level suffer, especially during fast action sequences.
Gameplay and Combat System
As far as gameplay is concerned, Order Daybreak offers a fluid, action-packed melee and ranged combat system where you can choose one character and switch to another or combine the abilities of both into attacks. Controls are very well made up, meaning movement and attacks feel really responsive
Though, after a while, one feels a lot of repetitive combat due to the lack of variety in enemy AI. Encountering a few more challenges in the boss fight is something to be thankful for, though aka standard enemies skimming through their predictable attack patterns make any tactical gameplay rather redundant.
Customization and Progression
The game allows for a good deal of customization, which permits weapon and armor selection, skills, and what have you, depending on player preference. The fashion system also provides an opportunity for some nice character customization.
On the other hand, at times, the progression feels grindy since leveling up and better gear will require quite a substantial time investment. There are, of course, options for in-app purchases, and that's where the game generally supports a pay-to-progress model, deterring free-to-play players.
Narrative & World-Building
Order Daybreak unfolds an overt sci-fi framework resonating with fantasy: a promising tale but seldom hits the mark of execution. Some players will find the narrative compelling, while others will argue that it is lacking in depth and originality. Characterization is varied—some characters come across as well-developed, whereas others lie on the other side of the coin.
Multiplayer & Connectivity
As the game offers cooperative multiplayer elements, players can join forces either in co-op missions or against others in PvP gaming. However, the server stability is poor, providing plenty of opportunities for lag spikes and disconnections. Assuming that the mechanics of the game rely heavily on real-time combat, these serious problems can easily frustrate players during the most critical of battles.
Final Verdict
Order Daybreak is an extremely good-looking action RPG with decent combat mechanics and extensive customization, but it never truly moves beyond average owing to repetitive, shallow gameplay, performance issues, and the grindy nature of progress. If you do love yourself a sci-fi RPG, Order Daybreak might just be worth a look despite some serious issues.
Best suited for those futuristic RPG game lovers with that amazing combat action and mech customization. People looking for a bit more polish and balance may, however, want to wait for future updates.
