Metro Exodus: Sam's Story - The Awakening VR Experience.
Introduction:
Metro Exodus: Sam's Story, also known as Metro: Awakening, has been reimagined as a virtual reality (VR) experience, offering players a new and immersive way to explore the post-apocalyptic world of the Metro universe. Developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver, Metro: Awakening VR was released on 7 November 2024, for PC-based VR headsets.
Story and settings:
The story takes place in the post-apocalyptic world of the Metro universe, based on the novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The game follows the journey of Sam, a young American who has traveled to the Moscow Metro seeking a new home. The story explores Sam's experiences as he navigates the dangers of the Metro and forms alliances with its inhabitants.
Gameplay:
The gameplay in Metro: Awakening VR is similar to the base game, Metro Exodus, with a focus on survival, exploration, and combat. Players must scavenge for resources, craft equipment, and fend off hostile humans and mutants in a harsh, radiation-scarred environment. The VR experience offers a new level of immersion, with players able to physically interact with the environment, manipulate objects, and engage in combat in a more tactile way.
Pros:
1. Immersive VR Experience: Metro: Awakening VR offers a truly immersive experience, with players able to explore the world of the Metro in a way that feels incredibly realistic and engaging.
2. Interactive Gameplay: The VR experience allows players to interact with the environment in a more physical way, adding a new layer of depth to the gameplay.
3. Increased Sense of Presence: The VR experience creates a sense of presence and immersion that is unparalleled in traditional gaming experiences.
4. Enhanced Sounds and Graphics: The VR experience takes advantage of the latest graphics and sound technologies, offering a visually stunning and aurally immersive experience.
5. New Perspectives of the Metro Universe: The VR experience offers a new perspective on the Metro universe, allowing players to explore the world in a way that feels fresh and exciting.
Cons:
1. Very high system requirements: Metro: Awakening VR requires a high-end VR headset and a powerful computer to run smoothly, which may be a barrier for some players.
2. Limited playtime: The VR experience is relatively short, lasting around 4-6 hours, which may leave some players feeling that the experience is over too quickly.
3. Some minor technical issues: Players have reported some minor technical issues, including bugs, glitches, and performance problems, which can detract from the overall experience.
4. Requires Base Game Knowledge: The VR experience assumes that players have a basic understanding of the Metro universe and its mechanics, which may make it difficult for new players to jump in which can be prevented if you play all the previous games from the Metro series which is worth it.
5. Motion Sickness: Some players may experience motion sickness or discomfort while playing Metro: Awakening VR, particularly if they are not accustomed to VR experiences.
Conclusion:
Metro: Awakening VR is a groundbreaking experience that offers a new and immersive way to explore the post-apocalyptic world of the Metro universe. While it may have some limitations, including steep system requirements and limited playtime, the VR experience is a must-play for fans of the Metro series and VR enthusiasts.
My PC setup:
Processor: Ryzen 9 9950 X3D
[ You can also use Intel i7 12700k or Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel i5 7200U (but it will be slow) ]
Graphics Card: Asus AMD Radeon 7900 XTX
[ You can also use AMD Radeon 6900 XTX/XT or RTX 4080 or Intel Arc A770/Intel Arc B580 (one of the best value to money GPU out there) or GTX 1080/1080 ti ]
RAM: 64 GB
[ You can also play it with 32 GB also but the Minimum requirement to play this game 16 GB anything lower will Lag a lot or not ever work while may lead to the game crashing a lot. ]
Storage: Samsung 990 PRO 2 TB SSD
[ The Samsung 990 EVO 2 TB SSD is also great but any storage 150 - 200 GB is decent storage but 256 gb is generally recommended as there are many people like me who enjoy the game lore so theyΒ download all the Metro Series of games together which are Metro Last Light Redux, Metro 2033, Metro Exodus & Metro Awakening all the games downloaded together they take 115 GB or incase you have lower storage you can download one game and after playing that game delete it and play the next one which works as you can enjoy the current game and delete the older game with which you are done playing unless you play Call of duty or Battlefield game which requires a lot of storage ]
So according you to what will be better the Ryzen 7 7800 X3D or a Intel i7 12 gen ? and another question what will be the better option RTX 4060 or an Intel ARC B580 ?

Author likedI know that you want this setup for gaming. So the Ryzen 7 7800 X3D is better as compared to the i7 12th gen. And for the Graphics Card I would say the Intel B580 as it's just better than the RTX 4060 in every way. It was 15% faster than the RTX 4060 at 1080p and a whopping 29% faster than the RTX 4060 at 1440p while having such a cheap price. The Intel B580 is better than the RTX 4060
