CASSETTE BEASTS – MY HONEST REVIEW

INTRODUCTION

I play many RPG games before, but Cassette Beasts feel different. First, I think maybe it just another Pokémon-like game, but after play some hours, I see it got own style and special feeling. This game surprise me, and I really enjoy time with it.

GRAPHICS AND WORLD FEELING

The world in Cassette Beasts is pixel-art but so beautiful. I feel like every place got bright colors and nice little details. The game is like old-school style but also fresh and new. The town, the forests, the caves – everything feel alive. It not just one small map, but open world, so I can go different place and explore.

One thing I really like is music. The songs in game make the adventure feel magical and sometimes emotional. The battle music is energetic, but town music is calm and nice. It make the experience better.

GAMEPLAY – MORE THAN JUST CATCHING MONSTERS

At first, I think it just catch monsters and fight, but this game has cool twist. Instead of Pokémon balls, we use cassette tapes to record monsters and then we become them in battle. It feel different from other games, and it make battles more fun.

Battle system is turn-based, but it also have combo moves. I can mix two different monster types and create new hybrid forms. That part is very fun, because I can experiment with different monsters. Some combinations are super strong, some are just funny.

I also like how game let me explore the world. There many secrets and puzzles, and I need different monster abilities to go to new areas. Some can fly, some can break rocks, so it feel like Metroidvania style.

STORY – INTERESTING AND FUN

The story in Cassette Beasts is simple but interesting. I wake up in strange island called New Wirral, and people here also from different worlds. Everyone stuck in this place, and we must find way home. There are mysterious creatures called Archangels, and the story become deeper and more exciting when I meet them.

The game also have funny dialogue, and characters have unique personalities. My partner characters also help me in battle, and I can become friends with them.

❌ Battles can be slow sometimes – Some fights take long.

❌ Too much text sometimes – Some conversations are too long.

❌ Map can be confusing – No clear way to see where to go next.


FINAL THOUGHTS

I really enjoy Cassette Beasts. It not perfect, but it unique and fun. The idea of recording monsters and combining them make it different from Pokémon. The world is cool, and the music make everything better.

If you like RPG games and monster-catching games, you should try this. It better than I expect, and I want to keep playing to see more combinations and finish the story.
