Dying Light 2: Stay Human – My Honest Review

Introduction

I not very good at writing, but I want to share my experience with
Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Reloaded Edition. I play the first Dying Light, and I really love it, so I very excited for this one. After playing, I have many feelings, some good, some bad, but overall, I enjoy the game.

Graphics and World

The world in this game is huge and beautiful, even if it very broken and dark. The city feel alive, with people trying to survive, and zombies everywhere. The way light shine on buildings, the sunsets, the shadows, everything look amazing.

At night, the game feel totally different. It more scary, because strong zombies come out. The way the world change between day and night is very cool, and it make me feel like I always need to be careful.

Parkour – Running and Jumping is Fun

One of my favorite things is how smooth the movement is. Running, jumping, climbing – it feel very real and exciting. Sometimes, I just run around the city for fun, because it feel so good.

The grappling hook and paraglider make things even better. I can fly between buildings, escape from zombies, and explore the city in different ways.

Combat – Satisfying But Not Perfect

The fighting in this game is fun, but not perfect. Using melee weapons like bats, machetes, and axes feel really powerful, and the way zombies react when I hit them is very cool.

But sometimes, the fighting feel a little slow, especially when fighting humans. The AI (enemy intelligence) is not very smart, and sometimes they just stand there waiting to get hit. But when fighting zombies, it feel much better and more exciting.

I also like how weapons break over time, so I always need to find new ones. It make the game feel more realistic, because I cannot just use one weapon forever.

Story – Not as Good as I Hoped

The story is okay, but not amazing. I like the idea of different choices affecting the world, but sometimes it feel like my choices don’t really matter. Some missions are very interesting, but others feel boring and not important.

The main character, Aiden, is not bad, but he not as interesting as Kyle Crane from the first game. I don’t feel very connected to him, and some of his decisions don’t make sense.

But, I still enjoy exploring the city and meeting different factions (survivors and peacekeepers). Some side characters are really cool, and their stories are more interesting than the main one.

Nighttime Gameplay – The Real Horror

During the day, zombies are not too dangerous, but at night, it completely change. Strong zombies called Volatiles come out, and they chase me like crazy. Running away from them is scary but very fun.

The night gameplay make me feel nervous. I always have to plan my path, find places to hide, and use my UV light to survive. It make the game feel more real, because I don’t always feel safe.

Pros & Cons

✅ Pros:

✅ Amazing open world
– Big city with lots to explore.

✅ Best parkour in any game – Running and jumping feel so good.

✅ Zombies are scary at night – Night gameplay is intense.

✅ Weapons feel powerful – Melee combat is satisfying.

✅ Choices can change some parts of the world – But not always in a big way.

Cons:

❌ Story is not very strong
– Some missions feel boring.

❌ Combat against humans is not great – AI is not smart.

❌ Bugs and glitches – Sometimes weird things happen in the game.

❌ Some choices don’t really matter – The game say choices are important, but sometimes they are not.

Final Thoughts

Even with some problems, I still really enjoy
Dying Light 2. The world, the movement, and the night gameplay make it a great experience. If you love parkour, zombies, and survival, this game is a must-play.

But if you want a deep story or perfect combat, maybe you will feel disappointed. For me, I still think it worth playing, because running around the city and fighting zombies never gets boring.

My Rating: 8/10
