Google Play Pass, Google’s Apple Arcade-style subscription service, is set to launch in the US later this week. The $4.99-a-month service currently boasts 350+ games and apps, all of which will be free of ads and IAPs.
While Apple Arcade came out guns blazing with a crazy number of exclusives, Google’s line-up is comparatively muted. Even if there are a few big-name titles in here – Stardew Valley, Terraria, Monument Valley 2 – the reality is that most of these games are now several years old. That won’t be an issue for everyone, but there’s no doubt that those with both an Android and iOS device are going to compare the two services.
