Game Review: Faces

Arcelico has developed an action based game known as Faces which is unique mainly because of its primary gameplay which involves player versus player or PvP system. At the first sight there is a possibility to choose a character and an environment which look realistic and that is one of the major pluses of the game. It is important to note, the graphic quality is impressive and has detailed texture work along with nice environments which adds a good appeal to the game for the ones who look for realistic settings in actions games.
But it becomes monotonous at times even in the games which are actually based on the flow of the core gameplay. The premise of *Faces* revolves around a simple goal: to check your opponent right in those short but furious rounds of combat. It has a count system in where the winner of the first five rounds wins the game, this is referred to as “First to Five”. On the same note, given that the game is very basic in its design, the serious gamers may considered it to lack adequate features, modes and even customizations.
However, what is especially impressive is the fact that the game is quite repetitive in the aspect of maps and characters available. If there were less map change, most probably the players will memorize strategies and are bound to be bored with the stagnated scenes. Furthermore, as for the characters, they are designed in a nice way, but it seems that there are not enough of them and one can’t choose his avatar’s looks, which may be a disadvantage, considering that there are sequels of this game.
On the plus side there does not seem to be much in the way of huge performance hits for the game and in terms of graphic quality it looks good. We can control the gameplay and it is essential in any intense pvp combat games. Yet, new features can be added into Faces; for example, power-ups, more kinds of the game modes, or even the single-mode can be an advantage.
Pros and cons
✅Pros:
✅ Faces is quick PvP combat with that thrilling 'First to Five' system, keeping matches packed full of excitement-perfect for short bursts of play. With its emphasis on short and tactical bouts, it is by no means a minor inconvenience to play.
✅ Awesome graphics, with realistic textures as well as a well-designed environment, excellent for the graphical satisfaction of combat, killing action, or just walking around-the environments do it justice.
✅ The game's running is perfect; therefore, there won't be any general problems with the performance . All players would have fun and feel good about it, without lagging or dropping frames-not visible-an excepted performance.
✅ Controls are tight and responsive, which is essential in PvP combat games. These movements are free flowing and accurately end for an effervescent and fun feel, whether for a beginner or a veteran.
✅ For the occasional casual player seeking some quick, competitive action, this is ideal: matches are quick, and it's easy to start playing without any training.
❌Cons
❌ A limited number of stunted characters and no options for customization make their game seem stale since players can't personalize their avatars.
❌ A few maps cause players to memorize strategies rather quickly and then create a monotony of gameplay in a long-term perspective.
❌ There's no dedicted one-player mode.
❌ There's no interesting power-ups, modulations or characters in the game, which could have grossed it an instant replay value.
❌It's too simple, not going to hold the more serious or longer term players looking for mechanics and variety in their games.
In conclusion, Faces is an entertaining action game that is best suited to bouts that are not overly long, and the graphics are good, but for substance and sustainability it is somewhat lacking. For fans of football who are in search of something a little more engaging they may need to turn elsewhere.
