Trying to describe this game is very difficult.
It's like the devs had a vision and tried to optimise it to the best of their abilities but, run out of budget, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a solo devs life long goal to make.
Animations: The animations can be janky, which can be really off putting, taking you completely out of the immersion. Some are so ridiculous they lend themselves to humorous. The crouch for firearms and range weapons is actually laughable... like it's as if they intended for the player to act as if they glitched their character...
Control's: There's actually playability here. Minus the ocassional button fumble which happens a fair bit. They are actually smooth. However, the animation for controls the likes of collecting items, arrows in particular off an enemy has a random A button just chilling there when this is a mobile game... maybe they intended for controller support but, left the control icon there despite what device you use.
Gameplay: Well it is definitely a game! It's not objectively bad, it is something of a martial arts game, the actual combat animation seems logical and well researched to provide optimal results. But... it's definitely not polished it's like a very expanisve, fully available, open beta. I will say when I say expansive I mean expansive. I mean there's a whole crafting system (medicinal crafting, weapon crafting, cooking, furniture crafting), editing your house (yes you own a house), a whole apprentince portion of the game where you have your own prodigy, skills and movesets tree's, health replenishing mechanics, I believe around 20 individual locations to visit, weird combat with crocodiles and boars, like there's A LOT to do!
Graphics: They really do fall short in this department, I genuinely most of the time feel I'm playing a classic PS2 game. Think a less rendered version of Yakuza, or, Shenmue 1. The option's are also extremely limited in what I can adjust graphically.
Finally UI/interface: It's works at least. I mean there's no real adjustment to any of the icons, as I said it feels ported from the PS2. It's a little chaotic the HUD but, not as bad as other titles I've seen.
I don't know what this game intended to be other than a martial arts game, but for me it's enjoyable for what it became just filled with many holes unfortunately.
