Its a fun game to play if you just want to pass the time with something you can do/play mindlessly but if you're looking for a story then... This game ain't it chief.
Why¿
There is no story, you stand there and throw the ball to a reservoir, occasionally juke someone then pass, or play training to make you're team better...ish and if you miss 3 times then game over. Here's your XP and here's your 60 coins (doesn't matter how high your score gets, you always get 60 coins). It don't matter which mode you play cause all you do is try to get a higher score than your best run before failing.
