Review after a week of active playing.
The game is great, graphics are gorgeous, network support is almost perfect, performance is top notch, however, it could have been better and more comfortable for players. So...
This game is unbelievably depressing.
There is no more fun for me. There are a lot of tasks and rules. I thought I hate capture-the-point mode... oh... this is my lovely mode here because other modes (collecting violet bubbles or holding the green ball) are stressful.
There is no classic team deathmatch mode, where players can relax and have some fun.
No fun, just a stressful job.
It only matters your league rating, so, if you have a couple of low level heroes - be ready for multiply humiliation.
Heroes progression is a voracious funnel, eating up and devaluing resources.
In T3 Arena levelcap was on the lvl 9, plus the lvl 10 as an ability bonus. Here there are 15 damn levels. To level up a hero without donations is slave labor.
New base repair mode after completion allows you to accumulate orbs. I spent a total of about 132 orbs on repairing, I accumulated another 200+ in three days. This devalued a future new season of repairing because I'll “master the base repair content” in a few minutes of dumb clicking through. I would suggest that instead of orbs, should be given out in resources or loot-boxes like it used to be.
I'm not going to say anything about bots, because they're dumb critters (with perfect level of hero control and map expertise). The magic recipe for victory is desychronizing the opposing team.
The game's online is so-so, playing solo you can easily MM-ed versus the same group of players a few games in a row.
In the rankings, I got top 50 right after the top 75% of players. So, only around 68 players reached rankings (thanks, DeepSeek, for the math) We can add a couple thousand random users (outside DAU/WAU)- that's actually the whole online at the moment.
I'm sure that the lack of fun and simple game modes contributed to that.
Peace!
