Concept Art
Brawl Stars skins are purchasable items that allow the players to transform the appearance of their favorite Brawlers. Skins do not have any effect on gameplay, nor give any boosts to your characters. A skin can be a very simple variation of the Brawler such as a color change in Panda Nita, or be very extreme and even show another side of the Brawler, like with Virus 8-BIT. Most importantly, a skin should be FUN to play with!
Creating a skin
For each campaign, we will provide you a theme to work with, such as Brawloween and a character or two that we would like you to create skins for. In this guide we have listed the key style principles you need to take into consideration when creating a skin.
When creating a Brawl skin, have these style pillars in mind:
Cartoony
Match the attitude of the skin with the wacky Brawl Stars humor
Light-hearted and non-violent
Avoid darker themes or approach them in a fun way
Toylike
A skin should be like a chunky toy that you want to have on your desk
Focus on a couple of details and make them oversized to really pop out
Avoid adding too much detail. Remember that the characters are quite small when being played
Colorful
Make the skin fun and colorful!
Keep in mind that the skin has to pop in-game
Avoid dark and washed out colours
Unique
Make the skin as memorable as the character
Always add a twist if you’re going for a common theme, you can for example mix two themes together to make it more unusual
Is this the best skin for this character?
Strong graphical elements such as logos, stickers or tattoos can give the design a lot of attitude
Important!
If you break any of the following rules, your skin will be immediately disqualified.
DO NOT use other Brands or (IP) Intelectual Property on your submission. Remember, this is not a collab with other brands.
DO NOT use (AI) Artificial Inteligence to generate your submission.
Due to the high number of submissions, we'll also reject recoloured versions of the Brawler's existing skins.
Character guidelines
Each of our characters have their own style and personality. When creating a skin for a Brawler, think about how they would act or dress in different scenarios. What role would they play?
Take other Brawlers into consideration:
Does a skin like this already exist for some other character in the game?
Is this the best skin idea for this character or would it suit better for someone else?
Submission Guidelines
Follow these guidelines if you want to submit Brawler skins to Make.

Weapons, companions, and items
The elements completing a Brawler are as important as the character itself. When you create a skin for a Brawler, take into consideration the whole package: the weapon and attack, the companion with its abilities and other items, for example when creating a skin for Jessie, you need to make sure to create a skin for the turret as well.
Submission
All submissions consist of a Turnaround, Thumbnail, and Description. Add optional assets if you want to spice things up and grab the users' attention - like dynamic pose, work-in-progress, details, or even a story.
Turnaround
Required asset
A view of the skin, weapon, and other assets from 4 different angles: the front, back and side views. It’s important to include all the views, making it easier to create the skin in 3D. The main purpose of a turnaround is to be detailed and informative.
Aspect ratio: 16:10, preferred size: 3840x2400px. Supported formats: .jpg, .png

Your creation's thumbnail will be displayed in the grid views throughout the site. So make sure to get the perfect shot that shows your Creation at its fullest and grabs the community’s attention!
