I was hesitant of the game at first and even stopped playing for a while but when I picked it up again it became extremely fun. The game starts off slow but ramps up extremely quickly when unlocking new items. I recommend using a website called gungeon god though to understand the use of specific items because their in-game descriptions are somewhat vague.
