A really unique car to do honest and only a few people know about it's existence! It's the 1923 Persu Streamliner, one of the first aerodynamic 'teardrop' like vehicles every created!
The vehicle was made by Aurel Persu, a Romanian engineer.
Persu constructed the prototype using his own funds, assembling it in Berlin between 1922 and 1924. It was powered by a rear-mounted engine, with the driver’s compartment positioned at the front. The vehicle was capable of reaching speeds up to 80 km/h and demonstrated excellent handling, able to navigate tight corners at 60 km/h without difficulty.
Aurel Persu donated the car in 1969 to the NATIONAL Technical MUSEUM “Dimitrie Leonida” which is on display there ever since. The car was in pretty rough shape until it was restored a few years ago! So be sure to check the museum out on the internet (or if you have the chance in person) to see the real deal!
I hope that you like my version of Persu's aerodynamic vehicle, it was a bit tough making it as there aren't really any blueprints floating around the internet but I'm happy with the results nonetheless!
