Awesome game, absolutely life changing:
Gameplay:
The gameplay is a very much standard rhythm game-like but it's UI and general mechanics make it memorable and the variation in difficulty is very refreshing.
The MySekai gameplay is also fun and I love being able to make my own little house/garden and being able to talk with my favorite characters.
Visuals:
MVs in this game are really nice, specially the 3D ones. It's nice that with 2D MVs SEGA is providing more work and recognition to various different artists.
Card illustrations are also very good and I'm in love with the PJSK art style.
Music:
The game features a nice variety of Vocaloid songs, both already existing and personally commissioned for the different units in-game.
The already existing songs usually have a cover of the characters from the units in game (which is the default selection) but you also have the option of having the original virtual singer vocals of the song.
When it comes to commissioned songs, most of them are awesome and it's also nice that the commissions give recognition to many not so known or new Vocaloid producers.
Writing:
Character writing in this game is awesome as it really has a realistic way of exploring various personal issues of the characters, handling complex topics while also balancing it out with lighthearted moments.
The unit that sticks out to me the most would be Niigo (I may be a bit biased because my favorite characters are Mizuki and Ena) and I really love the sequence of events that make up their character arcs (and also the Niigo main storyline).
My two favorite events would be Mizu5 and Ena5 as how it treated the topics of Mizuki’s character in a very realistic way.
Complaints:
Honestly, not many.
I would just complain about the BRUTAL character rates this game has in it's gacha system, it's the type of greed you only hear about in the Bible. If im not wrong it's around 3% chance rate for a 4 star card and it's not guaranteed to be a featured.
Also, I wish taptap would be faster in making updates available 😭😭.
