Nova Island Review by Anya

Although I was a little bit confused playing the tutorial, I started to get the hang of it after a few rounds! Nova Island is a rather refreshing and delightful card battler experience. Instead of knocking your opponent out, the goal is to reach a certain score before your opponent does. So, it's essential to create your lineup strategically to gain points and use everything, like a Slicer or a Bomber, to destroy your enemies' cards.

“To play, or not to play, that is the question.” It’s a dilemma that any card game fanatic has faced while staring down a difficult decision that will determine who's victorious in the next turn. It's precisely this level of mind games that makes the genre so interesting. There are so many card games out there, and many of them are similar, but this is that special element that sets a truly great card game out from the pack. 

First, I really dig the artstyle of Nova Island. The visuals are so polished and all the character/monster animations look unique. From the first glance you can tell that the developers really put a lot of love into their work. Nova Island is a fast paced hero-based card game where you place your characters/monsters on a board and try to charge them to boost your Nova. Now, once you get your Nova to level 20 you win the game! It's as simple as that and most of the gameplay is based on the mix of strategy and luck.
