Consider Mastering A “High Risk-High Reward” Hero in T3 Arena

T3 Arena has some amazing hero’s, from Kazama to Jabali, this games character design and character mechanics are super fun. From Cristina’s “Bouncy Grenade” to Shell’s “Cyber Weapon”, it’s no surprise that the playstyle opinions in this game has something for everyone. There’s one playstyle in particular that I want to cover, the “high risk - high reward” (HR-HR) hero. What I define in this case as a HR-HR hero is any hero that is low hp (anything 5600 hp and under), manual fire, singular projectile/ strike, and has one shot potential. What makes these hero’s HR-HR is because with the decent catalog of hero’s that T3 has, plus auto-fire, manual fire/single projectile hero’s require more work and accuracy and in turn, are rewarded with one shot potential (for those that don’t know what that means, these hero’s can completely kill DPS/flank/support hero’s with a singular well placed headshot. Only in Vincent’s case, can a body shot be enough).

How we achieved 23 Minutes Average Engagement Time on our game.

The truth is many Game Studios struggle with getting even 2-3 minutes average engagement time for their games. On our latest game Monkey King - Legend of Hereos we have an average of 23 minutes per active user. This number blew our mind. We have been building games for the past 15 years and for us our core value is not these fast dopamine kicks (even though they are important), but it is to create a fundamental value for the player in terms of depth to the game itself. We listen a lot to our players, especially in early stages, the way we have gone about doing that is we have contacted several hundreds of people on IG and asked for honest feedback. Many times this has given us key insights as to how we've been blind to early bottle necks in the game that makes users fall off. And gradually we have improved on that and removed these blockers for users to stay. In conclusion, listen a LOT to early players, and ask them especially how you can improve on the first 1-2 minutes of the game. This is where many players drop off if the game is not understandable or interesting enough.

Chapter 1: Secret Neverland Marie is a fairy who lives in Neverland. Her personality is the complete opposite of Nesy's. Marie seems innocent and lively, but is smart and longs for growth. Most of the time, Marie worries about her elder sister, Nesy. Marie believed her sister to be a fairy who would never grow up, just like the other fairies of Neverland. The fairies' eternal youth was one of Neverland's secrets. Neverland was once one of Oz's Wonder Spaces, but was eventually separated from Oz and turned into  a place where the fairies living there would never grow up. Since the fairies didn't grow mentally, they never understood love and responsibility. In this sense, Neverland was almost like a cage, restricting the fairies' mental growth. Because of this, Marie always tried to convince the other fairies to leave Neverland and seek out new things. However, Nesy and the other fairies refused to listen. And so, Marie decided to actively search out ways to get them to leave Neverland. Sprinkling herself with fairy powder, Marie set out on her journey, leaving Neverland.

Fades 2nd Ult isn't Broken...Let Me Explain

Fades 2nd ult (Naval Bombardment) has been the topic of debate for quite some time now. The ult for most players has been labeled with "OP" status, ever since its introduction in the T3 Arena's official season update video late last year (Dec 22. 2023). As a tank main(more importantly a Fade main), I think its about time someone addressed how to handle Fades 2nd ult. Naval Bombardment is a large area, continuous tracking fire, high damage, control ultimate. The ultimate last for 7 seconds, and is engaged the moment a player steps into its AOE (doesn't matter if you leave the AOE and come back, if the ult is still active you will still receive damage). What the ult does is, it tracks each individual enemy player in its AOE and tracks them with their own individual series of aerial projectiles. The most optimal time for this ult to be utilized is when there is a decent amount of enemy players grouped up. Most indie devs try to make icons that “look cool.” I did the same for years, and it cost us thousands of downloads over time. The app icon has one purpose, and one purpose only: Trigger enough emotions so that the player clicks your listing. Here is a few things I learned about creating the perfect app icon: 1. Bright colors win Your App Icon competes with thousands of others, stronger colors will make your icon stick out. 2. Angry or Sad faces convert better than happy ones. This is something I actually learned from YouTube Thumbnail theory. In my old company we boosted visitors by 24% by JUST going from Happy -> Sad face. 3. Simplicity beats details The icon is so small so it is important that the icon isn't too cluttered. For Monkey King: Legend of Heroes, we first used a clean blue icon with our main character(see the image) Then we swapped it for a bright red icon with an angry Monkey King… Store listing visitors increased by 109% in one week. It is quite simple: your app icon is not a decoration. It is an emotional trigger that decides if someone will visit your store page or not.

For almost a year our game was dead, and I mean completely dead. We got like 2-5 downloads per day. We had no marketing budget, no ads, no social media presence, and we declared our game a failure. Then all of a sudden, about 1 year after we released it, something happened. Google decided to give us some love. Out of nowhere we started getting 100 dls per day, 500 dls per day, 1000 dls per day and it kept growing. We had no idea why, but before we knew it we had 10k downloads per day

I understand, talking about #crashbandicoot can be different if you're used to the old-phone mobile version; the main series, the one that made Crash famous, is mainly composed of platform games for consoles/PC. So, when we talk about Crash, it's useful to specify which version we're referring to. If we talk about the main series, we're talking about console/PC titles with a strong platform and exploration component, while for #mobilegaming we're talking about leaner and faster experiences. Here I'm talking about my personal experience, I grew up with these titles, just think that there are a multitude of video games for mobile phones that consoles/PCs can only dream of. It all started when, way back in 2003, the release date of Crash Nitro Kart, my parents gave me my first #oldphone #nokia #nokia5230 and from then on, given the success, thirteen games followed, the latest of which was released in 2021, Crash On The Run only for Android systems.  A few days ago I discovered that a genius created an emulator to run these forgotten titles on Android. I haven't seen those little heart-shaped eyes since 2012! This title is a sequel to Crash Of The Titans for PS2, but it takes place before the last game released on console, Mind Over Mutant. It's an untold story that takes place in between these two great games. For me, it was a feast for the eyes to notice moving fauna in the levels, clouds, and dense jungles. The video game offered so much more... now I say it's an ever-expanding world that spins mind-boggling numbers that consoles/PCs combined can only dream of ✌️😂! Here Crash can do his classic double jump, spin, and break the iconic boxes. But not only that! He can also show off his abilities from the latest games in the series, such as chained kicks and punches, very useful for defeating the fearsome mutants of the Mutant Islands;  The mutants are divided into two groups: those created by Cortex and the Legendary ones. The latter are ancient beings who have protected Crash's islands for centuries, almost like deities. Crash's presence brings with it a massive presence of myths and legends, such as sunken continents and lost civilizations. This game was created with love and passion by the developers themselves, entirely in 2D. I hope you appreciate my work in bringing it back to your mind... it's a nostalgic effect for my generation, who lived through that period of great technological revolutions. As for the future of mobile, I can't say much, but Crash certainly has a lot to say.
