SHOULD I PLAY CAVES OF LORE? Play it, especially if you like old-school RPGs. Caves of Lore offers intense, strategic turn-based combat inside an incredibly deep world. While it might not be for everyone, this is an adventure worth embarking on if you enjoy timeless classics or engaging pixel-art games. TIME PLAYED I played Caves of Lore for four hours. I’ve explored seven areas, completed around five quests, and reached act two in the main story.

SHOULD I PLAY RUNE FACTORY 3 SPECIAL? If you’re a farming game fan, you won’t want to miss this, especially if you skipped the original Rune Factory 3 on the Nintendo DS. Rune Factory 3 Special is a lovingly crafted remaster of one of the best games in the Rune Factory series. It’s a wonderful blend of farming, slice-of-life social mechanics, and action RPG combat. There are times when it feels a little dated, but overall, it’s a pretty fantastic package. It’s the perfect game to play while you curl up under a blanket on a cozy fall day.

SHOULD I PLAY MATCHMAKER AGENCY? Play it if you like management games with an emphasis on story. In Matchmaker Agency, you take over your grandparent’s matchmaking service. Helping people find true love isn’t always easy, but thankfully, you have a talking cat familiar to guide you through the process. The story is charming, and the mechanics are a fun twist on more traditional management games. There were times when I wish it gave me a little more to do, but overall, I really enjoyed the story and gameplay.

SHOULD I PLAY BORN OF BREAD? Born of Bread feels like an unofficial successor to the Paper Mario series, so if you’re a fan of those games, you’ll definitely want to check it out. There were times when I thought Born of Bread could’ve used a little more time in the oven, but I was still won over by its playful dialogue and loveable cast of characters. If you dig games with a wacky, silly sense of humor, this is going to charm you too.

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it, especially if you’re in the mood to get lost in a great story. I’d describe Fall of Porcupine as a cozy game, but there’s an underlying darkness to its narrative that gives its events a real sense of weight. You play as Finley, a small-town doctor who’s returning to work after an on-the-job injury. Finley clearly loves the town of Porcupine and its residents, but he has some concerns about St. Ursula’s, the hospital he works at. There’s a free demo that serves as a prologue to the main story, and I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re interested in the game.

SHOULD I PLAY MOONSTONE ISLAND? If you’re a fan of cozy life sims, this is a must-play. Moonstone Island gave me so much to do—there’s farming, creature collecting, decorating, deck-building, and more—but it never felt messy or overwhelming. Never thought I'll actually get to see enhanced graphics in subway surfers. I thought the game's almost dead ngl 💀😭 Subway Surfers City is definitely an upgrade from the OG subway surfers, and it's not like they've replaced the game, you have this along with the OG one. DANMACHI BATTLE CHRONICLE, IS IT WORTH IT? Hey There! Well, I'm back at it again with a new mobile game, as today I'll be covering DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE. As a long-time follower of the show, I was a fair bit curious to see how the world was treated, and just how well they could translate it to a  stage-based Hack n' Slash. And as far as my first impressions go? It's not that bad, really.  For those familiar with the story, it runs players through summary-size versions of the various arcs, throwing players through various bite-sized battle stages, and interspersing them with enough story segments to tell the story. Obviously, the narrative does suffer a touch for this- but, given it's appealing to people already familiar with the show, I wasn't overly bothered. Frankly, I was here to beat up monsters- and on that front, the combat isn't too bad. Each of the various characters you unlock has a basic combo, as well as a pair of skills and an ultimate attack that charges as you whack monsters. What's more, you're able to bring up to 3 playable characters into each dungeon dive- so there's a neat bit of strategy involved with figuring out who you want to bring in based on their skills, elemental affinities - or, whoever you feel will prevail with the power of violence. Overall, it's decent enough- though, the way enemies' defence and offence scale if you're under-levelled, in tandem with the time limit on stages, does make things a bit aggravating at times. Also, PVP turns the game into an auto-battler, which is an admittedly weird design decision.

The Balseph fight in Tales of Arise is a strong early-game boss battle that sets the tone for the rest of the game. Balseph, the Lord of Calaglia, is a challenging opponent, especially since players are still getting used to the combat system. His fiery attacks and imposing presence make the fight feel intense. The battle requires strategic use of dodging, blocking, and the Boost Strikes mechanic to deal with his large health pool. For me, the fight is memorable because it’s the first major test of the party's abilities, forcing players to use all the tools at their disposal effectively. It also serves as a great introduction to the game’s themes of resistance and liberation. The satisfaction of taking down Balseph after the buildup of the oppressive environment of Calaglia is a rewarding experience.
