Based on the anime series Laid-Back Camp, this story-drive gacha game follows a group of friends that travel around Japan, setting up campsites in different locations. It does a terrific job capturing the look and feel of the anime, but the actual game could use some work.

Fate/Samurai Remnant is Koei Tecmo's upcoming action RPG and one of the latest developments in Type-Moon's Fate series. Unlike previous installments, Fate/Samurai Remnant takes place further in the past during the Edo period in the mid-17th century, and features traditional Japanese themes and styles. As someone that's watched the anime series from time to time, I'm particularly interested in how this game will build on the Fate series and what combat could be like in the Edo period. I think the visuals are pretty cool too. The vibrant colors mixed with the anime-style look, makes the game appealing but not too far from any of the other Fate games or shows.

SHOULD I PLAY DANMACHI BATTLE CHRONICLE? Only play it if you really like DanMachi. DanMachi Battle Chronicle is a visually stunning gacha game based on the popular light novel/manga/anime series DanMachi or Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? in its full English title. The game features a well-made story backed by great voice acting and cutscenes, but it falls short with everything else: repetitive gameplay, slow progression, limited content, and a poorly designed shop.

I went into the closed beta test for Kemono Friends: Kingdom knowing basically nothing about this franchise beyond the fact that there has been at least one previous mobile game and a semi-popular anime series. So if you're a hardcore fan, know that my opinion is based solely on the little bit I've played of this latest mobile game in the series and nothing else. That said, that little bit I've played is pretty dang fun! Kemono Friends takes place in a world where animals have been transformed into anime waifus, who in turn are at war with a more aggressive breed of mutated creature called "Ceruleans." I took on the role of a newcomer to this strange world who had amnesia but was able to help out in the fight against the Ceruleans.

I used to play Love Live! School Idol Festival a lot. For ppl who didn’t know about Love Live - it’s an anime that tells the story of several school girls who try to form an idol group to save the school from being shut down. It’s quite inspiring, maybe a little silly. Love Live! School Idol Festival is a rhythm game that includes the original characters and songs. It’s probably the first anime game and first gacha game that I’ve played.

My only concern is that I felt unrewarded for my many hours and days of playing only to get what felt like scraps, whereas other Gacha games either overwhelm you with rewards making it feel boring or give you a decent amount that doesn't feel excessive or underwhelming, making you want to return to the game over and over. This wasn't always the case; prior to the global release, there was less grinding for a lot of material, and it seemed much smoother than it does now. I understand that many games like this require grind to keep people playing, but this type of grind combined with no meaningful reward for that grind just doesn't work out.
