Disney announced that it has acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Fortnite developer Epic Games with an eye toward collaborating on “an all-new games and entertainment universe that will further expand the reach of beloved Disney stories and experiences.” This collaboration will include Disney-owned franchises including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more. Disney says the plan is for this to be a “world-class games experience” that has interoperability with Fortnite, but will also be a “new persistent universe” of its own powered by the Unreal Engine.

The 3D fighting smartphone game "One Piece: Ambition of the Pirate Warriors," jointly developed by the Mo Fang Studio Group under Tencent Games and Bandai Namco, announced today that it will start its "First Test Voyage" in China on May 16th, featuring a limited closed beta test for iOS and Android users. The challenges go from easy at the beginning of the adventure, to difficult at the climax, and then back to easy at the epilogue. This circular progression shows Monique maturing as she practices her skills and cultivates her inner confidence.
