The decision to cast prominent actors like Kevin Hart as Roland and Cate Blanchett as Lilith sparked widespread backlash. Commenters argued that the actors did not match the physicality or personality of the characters they were portraying (I mean seriously, who cast Kevin Hart as Roland 😭), which led to a disconnect between the beloved in-game characters and their on-screen depictions.
