I tried this during the Pocket Playfest Winter 2023. The game looks intriguing with a story that grabs right away. Unfortunately, as with a couple other games during the playtest, I wasn't able to progress very far because of quirks with the cloud play controls. I figured out quickly that taps were mapped as left mouse clicks, but I couldn't left click on the door to progress the objective. Still, from the jump, I'm excited to see what happens next! I'll have to check this game out when it's released.

From the moment I launched Gigabash, I was immediately captivated by its vibrant graphics and intuitive gameplay. This game is an exquisite blend of action and strategy, wrapped up in a package of monster-sized fun. The character designs are creative and diverse, each offering a unique set of abilities and moves that adds a layer of strategic depth to the battles. Whether you're controlling a colossal gorilla or a massive sea monster, every character feels unique and powerful in their own way.

Picture a game that looks left at all of the fans clamoring for a new Power Stone game, looks right at the ones who want a new War of the Monsters, and then shrugs its shoulders and says “Why not both?” That game is GigaBash. It’s a 3D arena fighter with a collection of 10 monsters and mechas inspired by classic kaijus and a focus on simple controls, environmental destructibility, and the power fantasy of being a giant monster slamming other giant monsters through skyscrapers. It’s not much more than meets the eye, but its claws are certainly sharp enough to scratch any kaiju-sized party fighter itches.GigaBash’s biggest strength is how it balances its immediately intuitive controls with just the right amount of depth underneath that approachable surface. Every character has a basic attack and special attack, a charged version of those attacks, an aerial version of those attacks, a charged aerial version of those attacks, and then two unique abilities that are performed by holding block and pressing a button. In addition to that, there’s a button to dodge, a dodge attack to hit enemies on the run, a button to pick up and throw enemies, objects, or even buildings, and that’s it. This ease of play allows GigaBash to fit snugly in that spot every friend group should have as a game where you just hand the controller over to someone with little to no knowledge of how to play, tell them a few quick things, and they’ll have a fun time.

There is a lot about GigaBash that speaks to me as a lifelong kaiju fan. The visuals, the Titan designs, the pick-up-and-play ease of the controls, the level variety, the lore, it’s all top-notch and easy to gush about. If you can consistently get three other people to join you locally in the action, you’re going to get a lot out of this game. If that’s not realistic for you, know that it can still be a pretty fun time even if you’re not getting the optimal experience.

Devil Slayer - Raksasi Review Devil Slayer - Raksasi is a fun and challenging roguelike game with a fast-paced, fluid combat system. The game features seven different female warriors, each with their own unique weapons and abilities. This gives players a lot of variety in terms of how they want to approach combat. The game's dungeons are randomly generated, which ensures that each playthrough is different. This helps to keep the game fresh and exciting, even after you've played it for a while.

Vampire Survivors gameplay in sci-fi setting! How refreshing to play through it despite having the same game mechanics. I might actually buy this game too after trying this demo! Game at glance in my opinion: Pros: - It has upgraded graphic quality. I like it retro, but this one's cool too! - SFX on point - The character to play is my favorite (it looks like a probe from StarCraft that shoots enemies. Well played!)
