"Heaven Dust" is a classic-style survival horror game that combines puzzle-solving and combat elements. The game's retro pixel art style presents players with a tense and thrilling world while evoking a sense of nostalgia for classic horror games. Despite maintaining a retro feel in its visuals and style, the game's intense atmosphere and challenging puzzle design give it a modern appeal. For players who enjoy classic horror games, "Heaven Dust" is definitely worth a try.

"Devil Slot Machine" is a game that proves the devil really is in the details. This infernally inspired slot game is packed with excitement, and it's clear that its creators have gone the extra mile to ensure every spin is a thrilling experience. From the outset, "Devil Slot Machine" captivates with its sinfully good graphics. The game's fiery aesthetic is a visual treat, with meticulously designed symbols and animations that bring the underworld to life. The soundtrack, a blend of rock and eerie sound effects, perfectly complements the theme, creating an atmosphere that's both thrilling and slightly unnerving.

[Pocket Playfest 2023 Winter Edition] Minds Beneath Us

Minds Beneath Us is set to offer a compelling mix of sci-fi thriller, mystery, and interactive adventure. The game's futuristic setting, rich storytelling, and visually captivating presentation create a unique gaming experience. While the demo provides only a brief glimpse into the game's potential, it succeeds in getting me excited and anticipating the full release. Ultimately, it’s a charming game with huge potential to be one of the better narrative indie games out there once it comes out. I do hope it doesn't take so long that I forget about the game entirely.

Picture a game that looks left at all of the fans clamoring for a new Power Stone game, looks right at the ones who want a new War of the Monsters, and then shrugs its shoulders and says “Why not both?” That game is GigaBash. It’s a 3D arena fighter with a collection of 10 monsters and mechas inspired by classic kaijus and a focus on simple controls, environmental destructibility, and the power fantasy of being a giant monster slamming other giant monsters through skyscrapers. It’s not much more than meets the eye, but its claws are certainly sharp enough to scratch any kaiju-sized party fighter itches.GigaBash’s biggest strength is how it balances its immediately intuitive controls with just the right amount of depth underneath that approachable surface. Every character has a basic attack and special attack, a charged version of those attacks, an aerial version of those attacks, a charged aerial version of those attacks, and then two unique abilities that are performed by holding block and pressing a button. In addition to that, there’s a button to dodge, a dodge attack to hit enemies on the run, a button to pick up and throw enemies, objects, or even buildings, and that’s it. This ease of play allows GigaBash to fit snugly in that spot every friend group should have as a game where you just hand the controller over to someone with little to no knowledge of how to play, tell them a few quick things, and they’ll have a fun time.

[Pocket Playfest 2023 Winter Edition] Wild Legion Review

Wild Legion, with its auto-attack hoard survival gameplay and a blend of genres, presents another intriguing addition to the rogue-like genre with its mix of many gameplay elements from adjacent genres. While the demo provides a taste of the game's potentially fun nature, it also highlights the need for optimization to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. As Wild Legion prepares for its Early Access release in Q1 2024, addressing technical issues and refining gameplay mechanics will be pivotal in realizing the game's full potential.

When I think of card based roguelikes, lots of games come to mind. This game adds the element of combos to the mix and has my attention more then a lot of the others. Your cards are not one and done. You add them to your combo and your attack grows each round. Can you afford the health to get a super powerful combo attack? That adds a lot more thinking and strategy then some of the other deck building games. I am watching this game for its future.

As a gamer, I recently played Devil Slayer Raksasi and found it to be an enjoyable and engaging experience. Here's my review of the game: Gameplay: Devil Slayer Raksasi is a top-down action rogue-like game that combines elements of Onimusha, Binding of Isaac, and Souls games. The game features a unique blend of hack-and-slash combat, dungeon crawling, and character progression. Graphics: While the game's graphics may not be groundbreaking, they are visually appealing and complement the game's atmosphere. The top-down format does limit the game's ability to showcase its artistry, but it still works well.

[Pocket Playfest 2023 Winter Edition] Gigabash Review

GigaBash is a thrilling multiplayer arena brawler that seamlessly blends the chaos of titles like Power Stone, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters with the awe-inspiring scale of classic kaiju movies. The game invites players to claim their place as king among Titans, offering a choice between rampaging Titans and Titan-hunting mechas. The game has been out on PC and consoles since last year, and has recently got its Ultraman DLC, following the Godzilla DLC last year.
