[Pocket Playfest 2023 Winter Edition] Pesticide Not Required Review

Pesticide Not Required’s absurd premise, coupled with the perfect balance of bullet hell chaos and farming tranquility, creates an experience that is both entertaining and therapeutic. As I said earlier, just one run of the demo was all it took for me to be completely sold on this game. Unfortunately it’s not out yet, but if it was, I’d highly recommend it to any Vampire Survivor fans out there looking for their next fix… especially if they also happen to love Farming Sims.

Heaven Dust 2 successfully builds upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, offering a thrilling survival horror experience reminiscent of classic Resident Evil games. The game impresses with its chibi-style graphics, engaging story, and well-optimized gameplay. The inclusion of various difficulty levels, playthrough unlocks, and exploration elements contributes to its replay value. The game doesn’t overstay its welcome, and its a nice affordable game to pass the time, beatable in a single sitting.

Beautiful Gfx Average Gameplay | Urban Heat

My YouTube: Gameplay is simplistic just like Guns of Boom. The developers should remove aim assist and auto shoot. That's why three stars. Graphics and the maps are beautiful with high definition textures.

When I think of card based roguelikes, lots of games come to mind. This game adds the element of combos to the mix and has my attention more then a lot of the others. Your cards are not one and done. You add them to your combo and your attack grows each round. Can you afford the health to get a super powerful combo attack? That adds a lot more thinking and strategy then some of the other deck building games. I am watching this game for its future.

Combo Card Clashers
Combo Card Clashers is a game that truly stands out in the crowded card game genre. With its unique blend of strategic gameplay and vibrant visual design, it has managed to capture my attention and keep me engaged for hours on end. From the moment I launched the game, I was drawn in by its polished graphics and intuitive interface. The game's art style is bright and colorful, making each card pop on the screen. The design of the creatures, spells, and environments are nothing short of captivating, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the gameplay.

The Trailblazing Adventure of Combo Card Clashers

"Combo Card Clashers" is a quintessential turn-based card battler, initially reminiscent of titles like "Slay the Spire." However, a deeper exploration reveals a unique and enjoyable combi system that sets it apart from conventional games in the genre. This innovative approach distinguishes it from other card-based games and provides players with a refreshing opportunity to express creativity through dynamic interactions between cards. Essentially, the game fosters strategic thinking and imaginative combinations, transforming each battle into a canvas for players to showcase their unique tactics and unleash their card deck's full potential. Fusing familiar mechanics with groundbreaking combi systems creates a captivating and engaging adventure, offering a blend of strategy and creativity that transcends traditional card battlers.

"Pesticide Not Required" is a refreshing take on gardening simulation games. It offers a laid-back and eco-friendly approach, allowing players to cultivate their virtual garden without the need for harmful pesticides. The game's emphasis on sustainable and organic farming practices adds an educational element, making it both entertaining and informative. The charming graphics and soothing soundtrack create a relaxing atmosphere, making it a delightful experience for players seeking a calmer gaming option. While it may lack the intensity of some other farming sims, "Pesticide Not Required" excels in delivering a wholesome and environmentally conscious gaming experience.

Heaven Dust 2 is a solid survival horror game that delivers a challenging and terrifying experience. The gameplay is well-executed, the atmosphere is oppressive, and the story is interesting. However, the combat can be repetitive, and the game is relatively short. I'm a fan of survival horror games, and I was impressed with Heaven Dust 2. The combat is challenging and requires players to use a variety of weapons and tactics to survive. The atmosphere is oppressive and terrifying, and the sound design is excellent. The story is interesting and full of twists and turns.

It is a gem since it is like a trip to the past with classic games but with a Plus since it has very good graphics, very good and intuitive gameplay too although In which it leaves much to be desired since it is repetitive and it is as if it were a clone of any other of the same genre Still, it is a great game and I highly recommended 😀

What if Vampire Survivors had farming and frogs? Pesticide Not Required is my ideal roguelite

SHOULD I PLAY PESTICIDE NOT REQUIRED? Absolutely yes. Pesticide Not Required has everything I could ever want in a Vampire Survivors clone: smooth bullet heaven gameplay, over-the-top power-ups, frogs, farming mechanics, and even a pet capybara to help me care for my plants. I’ve only played the demo, but I’m already head over heels in love with Pesticide Not Required. Unless you totally hate roguelites—or frogs—this is a must play.

Minds Beneath Us is a compelling cyberpunk story about AI and free will

SHOULD I PLAY MINDS BENEATH US? This is definitely one to check out if you’re interested in adventure games or cyberpunk stories. Minds Beneath Us is a modern, more down-to-earth spin on Ghost in the Shell. It’s set a couple decades in the future in an unnamed city in Asia where AI controls many aspects of daily lives and shadowy agencies use data ghosts to possess targets and spy on their enemies. It’s stylish and atmospheric, and the story had me hooked right away—even though I found some of the pixel-hunting a bit tedious.

I can tell this game is great, even though I'm dreadful at playing it. I'm reminded of childhood favorites Rampage and War of the Monsters — but also of the far more recent Ruckus, a delightful little kaiju brawler published to MediaMolecule's Dreams. Recommended to anyone who likes picking up entire buildings and hurling them at friends.
