[Pocket Playfest 2023 Winter Edition] Gigabash Review

GigaBash is a thrilling multiplayer arena brawler that seamlessly blends the chaos of titles like Power Stone, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters with the awe-inspiring scale of classic kaiju movies. The game invites players to claim their place as king among Titans, offering a choice between rampaging Titans and Titan-hunting mechas. The game has been out on PC and consoles since last year, and has recently got its Ultraman DLC, following the Godzilla DLC last year.

Picture a game that looks left at all of the fans clamoring for a new Power Stone game, looks right at the ones who want a new War of the Monsters, and then shrugs its shoulders and says “Why not both?” That game is GigaBash. It’s a 3D arena fighter with a collection of 10 monsters and mechas inspired by classic kaijus and a focus on simple controls, environmental destructibility, and the power fantasy of being a giant monster slamming other giant monsters through skyscrapers. It’s not much more than meets the eye, but its claws are certainly sharp enough to scratch any kaiju-sized party fighter itches.GigaBash’s biggest strength is how it balances its immediately intuitive controls with just the right amount of depth underneath that approachable surface. Every character has a basic attack and special attack, a charged version of those attacks, an aerial version of those attacks, a charged aerial version of those attacks, and then two unique abilities that are performed by holding block and pressing a button. In addition to that, there’s a button to dodge, a dodge attack to hit enemies on the run, a button to pick up and throw enemies, objects, or even buildings, and that’s it. This ease of play allows GigaBash to fit snugly in that spot every friend group should have as a game where you just hand the controller over to someone with little to no knowledge of how to play, tell them a few quick things, and they’ll have a fun time.

Heaven Dust 2: Striking Similarity to the Original

In 2020, the video game "Heaven Dust" boldly posed the inquiry, "What would happen if "Resident Evil 1" were presented with a top-down camera perspective?" The resultant offering manifested as a proficient action-adventure, notably more accessible than its muse due to the perpetual visibility of zombies. Presently, the emergence of "Heaven Dust 2" initiates a subsequent query—"What if the "Heaven Dust" narrative unfolded within a more expansive mansion?" Consequently, this sequel lacks the endearing qualities found in its forerunner. "Heaven Dust 2" unfolds in the aftermath of its predecessor, with the protagonist, Steve, awakening from the cryo pod wherein he had been confined after an abduction by corporate operatives. He discovers himself within another mansion besieged by rampant zombies. Regrettably, those anticipating a setting akin to a city immersed in a zombocalypse reminiscent of "Resident Evil 2" will likely find themselves disillusioned by the sequel's thematic choice.

"Gigabash" is a vibrant and chaotic multiplayer brawler that delivers a nostalgic homage to classic kaiju and monster movies. The game's diverse roster of characters, each with unique abilities, ensures dynamic and entertaining gameplay. The destructible environments and over-the-top power-ups amplify the frenetic energy, making every match a thrilling experience. The colorful and lively art style adds to the game's appeal, capturing the essence of a kaiju showdown in a virtual arena. However, the learning curve might be steep for newcomers, and some may find the chaos overwhelming. Overall, "Gigabash" is a joyous celebration of monster mayhem, providing hours of entertaining and laughter-inducing gameplay for fans of party brawlers.

Tried, and its worth trying! For me, it is your typical fighting game. Many things to consider based on my experience. Pros: - Graphics are quality - SFXs and BGMs are a classic - I get to see Voltes V (it's a personal preference, but it's part of childhood. KEKW) Cons: - There's nothing much new about the game. Bottomline is that it is still on its development phase. It does look promising. I can see how it can alleviate stress and boredom during past time, and I hope to play it along with my friends and colleagues. I can imagine the outcome for solo players playing team battles, but same can be imaged if played with friends! My suggestion is that I hope this will be available in different platforms! I don't really enjoy it playing it through keyboard, but the game has the control options, so that's convenient!

had a blast playing Devil slot machine game. It is a unique combination of roguelike, pinball, and tower defense genres. The graphics are stunning, the sound effects are immersive, and the gameplay is challenging and addictive. I loved collecting chips, building towers, and shooting fireballs at the demons. The game is full of surprises and rewards. If you are looking for a devilishly fun and original game, you should definitely try

🚨Netflix Games Revolution: Unveiling All the Details About the Gaming Service🚨

Despite being on the market for two years, Netflix Games remains a relatively unknown option for many users. Launched at the end of 2022, this initial foray into the gaming world by the streaming giant offers a catalog of mobile games at no additional cost to subscribers. Users can access titles inspired by Netflix series such as "The Queen's Gambit" chess game and games based on "Stranger Things." However, the service is only accessible through the Netflix mobile app on iOS and Android. Contrary to expectations, Netflix's mobile game catalog does not support cloud gaming, requiring users to download and install titles on their devices.

I’ve only played the demo, but I’m already head over heels in love with Pesticide Not Required. Unless you totally hate roguelites—or frogs—this is a must play.

Combo Card Clasher is an exciting mobile game that combines strategy, card battles, and a hint of luck for an addictive gaming experience. With its simple gameplay mechanics, vibrant graphics, and a wide range of cards to collect and upgrade, this game is a surefire hit for strategy game enthusiasts. One of the first things that struck me about Combo Card Clasher is its easy-to-learn gameplay. The controls are intuitive, allowing players to quickly get the hang of the mechanics. The game also provides a helpful tutorial for beginners, ensuring you're well-prepared for battles and strategic decision-making.

I may have been uncertain at the start whether or not I would enjoy Devil Slayer Raksasi, but in the end, it’s actually one of the best rogues I’ve played in a long while. While graphically, it may not shatter anyone’s expectations, and the music is generally pretty muted, it does so much more right in how it plays. Coupled with an interesting premise, mysterious robed overlords, demon hybrids, and monsters, and you end up with a really satisfying indie game. I’m definitely impressed and look forward to future projects from GlassesCatGames.

Vampire Survivors gameplay in sci-fi setting! How refreshing to play through it despite having the same game mechanics. I might actually buy this game too after trying this demo! Game at glance in my opinion: Pros: - It has upgraded graphic quality. I like it retro, but this one's cool too! - SFX on point - The character to play is my favorite (it looks like a probe from StarCraft that shoots enemies. Well played!)

Heaven Dust 2 is a solid survival horror game that delivers a challenging and terrifying experience. The gameplay is well-executed, the atmosphere is oppressive, and the story is interesting. However, the combat can be repetitive, and the game is relatively short. I'm a fan of survival horror games, and I was impressed with Heaven Dust 2. The combat is challenging and requires players to use a variety of weapons and tactics to survive. The atmosphere is oppressive and terrifying, and the sound design is excellent. The story is interesting and full of twists and turns.
