Despite being on the market for two years, Netflix Games remains a relatively unknown option for many users. Launched at the end of 2022, this initial foray into the gaming world by the streaming giant offers a catalog of mobile games at no additional cost to subscribers.
Users can access titles inspired by Netflix series such as "The Queen's Gambit" chess game and games based on "Stranger Things." However, the service is only accessible through the Netflix mobile app on iOS and Android. Contrary to expectations, Netflix's mobile game catalog does not support cloud gaming, requiring users to download and install titles on their devices.
Once downloaded, games can be launched directly from the Netflix app, ensuring access as long as the subscription is active. It's crucial to note that the Games section is not accessible from Kids profiles.
The current catalog includes about 50 titles, many of which are exclusive. The recent addition of Grand Theft Auto titles, including GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas, has brought a monumental dimension to the service. Other featured titles include:
- Tomb Raider Reloaded
- Vikings: Valhalla
- Football Manager 2024
- Netflix Stories: Love is Blind
- Farming Simulator 23
- TRANSFORMERS: Fighters
- Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales
- Ghost Detective
- Hello Kitty: Cheerful Parade
- Stranger Things: 1984
- Stranger Things 3: The Game
