Fun tower defence game with a little twist. I love tower defence games since they are easy to pick up and play and there is considerable amount of strategy involved. This brand new addition to the genre brings an extra dimension to it by enabling to alter the path that waves take to your base. You have to buy blocks that seem like inspired from Tetris(Good Job!) Which have some basic plates and a turret plate. By using these blocks, you can alter the path a wave takes since it picks the shortest route which introduces another dimension of strategy to normal tower defence.

Astra: Knights of Veda is a gacha side-scrolling beat ‘em up that features a rich story and world with some really gorgeous accompanying visuals. Character sprites look wonderful and full of personality, and the game’s voice acting and direction are decent. Still, this is only the demo. Survival Shelter tells the story of a world devastated by a disaster that has turned the earth into a dangerous place. Players must lead a group of survivors and build a safe shelter. Times have really changed. I can’t imagine telling the seven-year-old me playing Street Fighter II Turbo that one day, I won’t have to learn all those complex button combinations to pull off fancy moves. Or that moral lessons like learning the answer to “what strength is” will be part of my goal, right alongside side jobs such as making pizza. You might be asking yourself, what happened to the series where folks yelled “Hadouken!” and wrecked sports cars for points? It’s still here, but it’s definitely evolved with the times.

I’m working on a small cat lane strategy game called Claws of Power, and lately I’ve been testing this new unit: Chef Cat. He’s not really a fighter by design – tall chef hat, white coat, frying pan in hand. As long as he doesn’t have to hit anyone, he’ll just stand there and “cook” fresh dried fish on the battlefield, slowly boosting your income over time. The fun (and kind of dumb) part is stacking him: more chefs → more fish → more cats → even more chefs… At some point it really feels like you dragged the entire kitchen onto the lane. Of course, if your frontline collapses, the whole kitchen evaporates in two seconds, so it’s a very greedy way to play. This event is an easy 10/10. Was surprisingly short in terms of dialogue while retaining the same level of characterization, scenario setting and plot. Also loving the new effects and sounds added to enhance the story telling as well all the gorgeous CG arts. HyperGryph (the devs) might have just upped the standard of their story telling with this event! I won't spoil you on the story but man, the character development Reed got in this event is amazing! Plus she looks so cute and beautiful, this has gotta be one of the best alter operator added to Arknights in terms of story and gameplay.
