Total size when I play this game is ± 1,11 GB. The game I previewed previously has now been renamed from Space Quest: Alien Invasion to Xeno Swarm. It’s still a Roguelike, and after just one day of playing, I couldn’t put it down. Unfortunately, the device I’m using isn’t powerful enough and suffers from frame rate drops, frequent force closes, and lag (a potato device). But overall, this game is far better than the previous version.

Hi, I’m Garlic Sprout, the solo dev behind Claws of Power. In my game, Bacon Jack is that tiny 1-cost melee cat everyone loves to spam. He’s cute, super cheap, and great for early swarms… but against fancy mid–late game units or big AoE, he usually just melts first and disappears. So I decided to give him his own exclusive item: the Bacon Jack Fusion Device. When you press it, all the little Bacon Jacks on the field fly toward a light point and fuse into Jack Hero. His HP and attack both scale with how many Jacks you sacrificed, so the more “fodder” you throw in, the more ridiculous he becomes. A big Jack Hero can both tank and hit hard – he finally doesn’t have to be bullied by Solo anymore. It also creates a fun choice: do you keep Bacon Jack as a throwaway frontline, or cash them all in at once for a single muscle hero? The GIF I’m posting shows the fusion in action and how Jack Hero fights once he’s on the field. I’ve been testing a new unit in Claws of Power called Aosha. He’s basically an assassin cat: blue scarf, dual blades, always moving like he’s about to cause trouble. The idea for him actually came from a player, so this one is kind of a custom character brought into the game. One balance problem in earlier versions was that ranged units were getting a bit too comfortable, so I wanted something that could punish them directly instead of just trying to out-stat them. Aosha’s normal attacks have a chance to trigger a quick extra combo. But the more important part is his special trait: if he gets hit by a ranged projectile, he instantly blinks behind that ranged unit, does a guaranteed combo, and then teleports back to where he was before. So against archers and gunners he’s… not very polite. The GIFs I’m posting are from my latest test build. I’m still tuning him, but he’s already one of those units that feels very satisfying when the matchup is right. One of the fun parts of making my own game is that sometimes I can just take a character vibe I really like and turn it into a cat. So this time I made a new unit for Claws of Power called Wade. Dark outfit, glowing red blade, very obvious “space villain” energy. He’s not just there for looks, though. In battle he can use the red blade to block incoming ranged attacks, which makes him really funny to watch against archers and gunners. He also has a pull / gravity-like skill that drags enemies from farther away right into melee range, so once they get close, he can start bullying them properly. The whole thing is still hand-drawn frame by frame, and these GIFs are from my current test build. I’m still tuning him, but he’s already one of those units that feels very satisfying when everything lines up.
