Sonic Superstars - It's all the same when it comes to SEGA

Are you a Sonic fan? I'm afraid I'm not in the same boat. I haven't enjoyed a genuine Sonic game in a long time. I guess I'll never understand the formula. Back then, I was more of a Paper Boy or Tetris guy, along with Zelda and Mario and the occasional Banjo Kazooie, but Sonic never really clicked with me. It's a shame that he's become more of a meme than a household figure for youngsters and gamers alike throughout the years. What I'd most like to see is a repeat of their recent April Fools, which was a surprisingly good game. I strongly advise you to check out and read through

Remember Stargate? It's back—in real-time tactical game form!

For a certain type of dorky kid growing up in the '90s, the Stargate franchise was a formative gateway into goofy-yet-fun, low-budget sci-fi adventures. Beginning with the 1994 movie Stargate, the series quickly expanded out into multiple TV shows, comics, cartoons, books, and yes, video games. And while there hasn't been much going on with this IP in recent years, that's finally changing this week, as an all-new Stargate game has just launched...and you can even play the first mission for free.

ᴀ ᴍᴏʙɪʟᴇ ᴡɪsʜ: Tak and the Power of Juju

ʟᴇᴛs ᴅɪᴠᴇ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴛʜɪs ᴏᴠᴇʀʟᴏᴏᴋᴇᴅ, 2000’s ɢᴇᴍ Tak and the Power of Juju is an action-adventure platformer created by Avalanche Software, and was published by THQ Nordic (simply THQ at the time of publication) in October of 2003. It was met with mixed to average reviews by critics, and was given an average rating of about 6/10. At the time of its release it was looked over by many potential players because of the bigger named titles that released that year (Jak 2, Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, and DMC2 to name a few). You could play this title on the GameCube, PS2, and the Game Boy Advance (the format that I owned). Luckily for me this game released during my childhood ( I was 7 at release) and couldn't be bothered with the snobby opinions of "video game critics" reviews (let alone fully read them if I wanted to). Not only was this game awesome visually, the main character "Tak" was voiced by Jason Marsden (Max from "A Goof Movie" and Chester from "The Fairy Odd Parents"). This game was one of my first memories playing a Game Boy Advance, and couldn't be happier with this new title in my little gaming collection.

TapTap Game of the Year 2023 #6: Final Fantasy XVI - the next step for gaming’s greatest series

I realize that headline might be a little provocative. Gaming’s greatest series? Really? Well, yes. For my money, at least, no single franchise has had a larger impact on my personal life in video games than Final Fantasy. The original game introduced me to Japanese RPGs. Final Fantasy VI taught me how much a video game story could affect me. Final Fantasy XIV is probably the best MMORPG ever made.

If you skipped Warhammer 40,000: Darktide or stopped playing, it's time to give it another shot

Despite being made by the same team that created the beloved Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide and Warhammer: Vermintide 2, players were very lukewarm on last year's Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. The mixed reviews on Steam pointed to tons of bugs, a lack of content, and unrewarding progression as major problems contributing to the lack of excitement. Well, developer Fatshark has been working away at Darktide for a year now, improving on those issues with patches adding new content, balancing classes and abilities, and squashing legions of bugs. That all culminates in the just-launched Patch 13, which completely overhauls how classes and leveling work in the game.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition Update Adds New Content and Fixes

Capcom released a new update for Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition on October 24, 2023. The update adds a number of new features and fixes, including: * **New character: Vergil** * **New difficulty mode: Legendary Dark Knight** * **New Bloody Palace mode challenges** * **Bug fixes and performance improvements** Vergil is now playable in all modes of the game, including the story mode, Bloody Palace, and Vergil's Downfall. He has his own unique moveset and abilities, including his Devil Trigger and Doppelganger. The Legendary Dark Knight difficulty mode is a new challenge mode that is even more difficult than the standard Dante Must Die difficulty. Enemies have more health and deal more damage, and there are fewer checkpoints. The new Bloody Palace mode challenges offer a new way to test your skills. There are now 100 floors to climb, each with its own unique challenges. The update also includes a number of bug fixes and performance improvements. The update is available now for free on all platforms. **Here are some additional details about the new content:**

When you say perfection!  It's just a demo but at first glance I was totally hooked.  Ray-tracing, which iPhone15pro praises so much, was already a reality on Android since the game was released on 04.25.2023!  Have you noticed how the lantern illuminates the scenarios?  My blood ran cold!  There are some small lags here and there but it's more than allowed because it's really rich in details, I'd say much nicer than Tomb Raider.  I want it

Wanna get to level 9999? Disgaea 7 is as over-the-top as RPGs get, and that's a good thing

SHOULD I PLAY DISGAEA 7? Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is a return to form for the Disgaea series. It’s a perfect blend of grinding, boundary-breaking gameplay, and silly storytelling. If you’re not a fan of the franchise, it probably won’t win you over, but if you’ve enjoyed other Disgaea titles or are curious about the series, this is a game you won’t want to miss. I’ve enjoyed every second I’ve spent with

【Developer VLOG】Destructible objects

We have recently been testing new destructible object capabilities within the game. Developers have created a novel feature that implements physically accurate collision and destruction simulations. Items within the virtual environment can now break apart in a manner consistent with real-world material properties when struck by in-game forces such as player characters, weapons, skills or other destructive influences. The new system dynamically models factors like material strength, impact force distribution, fracturing patterns and debris generation.

Slay The Spire Developers show it's just THAT EASY!

There's no better way to sum up the gaming business lately than a collective bag of shite being thrown at Unity for trying so hard to sink their greedy mitts into everyone's pockets and causing a lot of panic towards indie developers and big brand names. It's excellent to see studios banding together in a boycott of the Unity platform, which is where this game is available. Dancing Duelists is a game that was created in three weeks after a fast changeover to a new gaming engine. Consider what could be accomplished in two months.

Extra! Extra! Read all about an awesome newspaper sim that has you chasing headlines and money

SHOULD I PLAY NEWS TOWER? Yep, especially if you love deep, challenging simulation games, or if you’ve ever dreamed of becoming the head honcho at a major New York City newspaper. News Tower is the full sim package, requiring equal parts time management, resource management, building layout, and creative input into what stories you assign your reporters to chase down each week. Running your own news empire isn’t easy, but News Tower makes it awfully fun.
