What if the X-Files was a computer game from the '80s? Get ready for Bahnsen Knights

When it comes to horror something about the '80s just hits harder. The look, the music, the feel—the 1980s is just the perfect era for creepy stuff. Developer LCB Game Studio seems to have recognized that, which is why its next game, Bahnsen Knights, is both set in 1986 and looks like a PC game that could have been released right around that same time. Bahnsen Knights is actually the latest in a series of games from LCB Game Studio and publisher Chorus Worldwide Games known as Pixel Pulps. These adventure games use stylized retro graphics and music to tell unsettling horror stories. In the case of Bahnsen Knights, that story revolves around Boulder, an undercover agent who has been sent to

Was this Cyberpunk boomer shooter sleek? - Turbo Overkill Quick Review

IS TURBO OVERKILL WORTH THE TRIP? There's definitely going to be an appeal here if you're a fan of existing boomer shooters like Doom, Dusk or waiting for the release of more contemporary titles like Forgive Me, Father 2 or Project Warlock 2. Especially in the latter case, as though it caters to the more retro-styled visuals you might find in older titles, and the frantic but familiar core gameplay of emptying every available ammo cartridge in constant swarms of enemies -

This stylish platformer looks different from any other Metroidvania we've seen before

From Hollow Knight to Blasphemous 2 to, well, most of the Metroid and Castlevania games of the last twenty years, we've played and adored Metroidvanias for a long time now. But for as many of these adventure/exploration-heavy platformers as we've played, we've never seen one that looks quite like Worldless. This upcoming Metroidvania from Spanish game developer Noname Studios uses stark colors and an abstract art style to really stand out from the pack. That's not the only way that it's different, though. In addition to the usual exploration and ability unlocking of this style of game, it uses a clever combat system that mixes turn-based and real-time action.

important news: there are top bots covering records in races 🚗🚗😡

the presence of bots has been noticed that turns out to be depending on the record of the top players, this is annoying since there was not something similar before but it is frustrating because even your own record does not let you win or finish in first place, hopefully they will remove this addition which only ruins the satisfaction of the game and makes it stressful. 👎

Finally finished with Baldur's Gate 3? Here's the next old-school RPG that will eat up all your time

We've done every quest in Starfield. We've seen every ending in Baldur's Gate 3. We need to know what's next—specifically, what's the next massive role-playing game that will keep us glued to our screens for months to come? Meet Broken Roads, which just might be the answer. This new RPG is described by its own developers as a love letter to classic computer RPGs, which means you can expect a lengthy journey, challenging combat encounters, and deep, morally complex story choices. It features a Fallout-style post-apocalyptic setting, except with the interesting twist that it's set in Australia specifically.

Is being a good guy getting boring? Design your own death traps and destroy heroes in Dungeons 4

Back in our day we had to turn to the Dungeon Keeper games when we wanted to torture good guys and corrupt fantasy lands. But since EA hasn't done anything with that franchise in ages, publisher Kalypso Media and developer Realmforge Studios have picked up the slack with the Dungeons series. The latest entry, Dungeons 4, is almost here, and it's looking like a devilishly good time. With a firmly goofy tone, the game will have players building a dungeon fit to keep the various orcs, goblins, and other evil denizens happy and healthy. But they'll need to contend with raiding parties from above and below, as humans, elves, and dwarves attempt to invade the dungeon and steal the precious gold and gems within.

The latest Dragon Quest game is all about capturing adorable creatures...and then combining them!

Dragon Quest Monsters has been a spin-off branch of Enix's beloved Dragon Quest series since the first one launched for the Game Boy Color way back in 1998. These games take the recognizable Dragon Quest art style and implement Pokémon-style creature collecting and battling. It's two great tastes that go great together! Despite being a no-brainer gameplay formula, though, it's been a long time since we've had a Dragon Quest Monsters game make its way to North America. The last one was Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, which launched for the Nintendo 3DS over a decade ago. That streak is finally ready to be broken, though, with
