Astra: Knights of Veda is a gacha side-scrolling beat ‘em up that features a rich story and world with some really gorgeous accompanying visuals. The story of Astra is incredibly illustrated and decently acted. With the demo being fully voice-acted, it kept me engaged most of the time. It also doesn’t shy away from pretty gnarly stuff which I as a story enthusiast appreciated. Astra operates like a typical 2D side-scrolling beat ‘em up, in a way similar to ASTLIBRA Revision released back in 2022, with a basic attack, dodge, special, and ultimate. You need to use these moves in conjunction with each other to successfully clear each zone. You can also switch your characters on the fly (thanks to a big story reason) to spice things up.

Hey hey! While I don't usually dabble in Bullet Heavens, I'd recently been directed towards Joychasing Games, Return To Abyss. Now, while I've already done a quick review of this game, I have (by this point) nearly doubled my initial playtime. Admittedly, the title of this article isn't inaccurate, as I was able to make a healthy degree of progress even as I piled my way through a small pile of peanut butter sandwiches. Still, that does leave the question- was this bullet-heavy rogue-lite a casual bit of fun, or was it an abysmal experience?

We need to know what's next—specifically, what's the next massive role-playing game that will keep us glued to our screens for months to come? Meet Broken Roads, which just might be the answer. This new RPG is described by its own developers as a love letter to classic computer RPGs, which means you can expect a lengthy journey, challenging combat encounters, and deep, morally complex story choices. It features a Fallout-style post-apocalyptic setting, except with the interesting twist that it's set in Australia specifically.

SHOULD I PLAY METAL SLUG: AWAKENING? Play this one, especially if you’re a fan of the original Metal Slug series or like the simplicity of old-school run-and-gun games. Metal Slug: Awakening takes all the familiarities of this side-scrolling shooter and brings them into the modern age. It’s been a minute since I’ve played any Metal Slug games, but I’d be damned if I wasn’t impressed with the three-dimensional visuals, fully voiced cast, online multiplayer, and the barrage of weapons I could use to destroy all manner of freedom-hating enemies across the map.

📖 Storyline: It is an adventure puzzle game with survival elements. The game allows you to become the companion of a little girl in a yellow raincoat, whose fate has changed abruptly after being trapped in a huge and creepy mansion called "The Nest". One little miscalculation and our heroine's balloon bursts through the roof of this abandoned building, thus beginning a series of exciting adventures and dangerous trials. Explore together with the protagonist the corners of unfamiliar rooms, struggling with an acute sense of fear that arises in response to the dark secrets of this dark place. Challenging logic puzzles and challenges await you to continue your journey and find your way out. In this isometric world, you must always be on your guard, because scary traps and sinister enemies may be waiting in every room. But don't let that scare you, because as you progress through the game you can learn to understand and overcome all the obstacles that will come your way.

Dead Space in my opinion is the best Sci-Fi horror game around. This game perfectly balances story, gore, and horror elements from eachother keeping you on the edge of your chair waiting for something to happen. The game is really well put to gether and is an amazing game for its age. Personally, I played this game on my XBox 360 and the fact that it still looks amazing just goes to show how well this game was made. I think this series is my favorite horror game series because of its story. I would totally recommend this game to all horror game lovers as well as shooter game lovers!

Witchspring R is out now on PC and Consoles, and I had the pleasure of playing it on PC through Steam. This game is full of funny moments and adventure to be had. I can't wait to dive even deeper into the game. I just can't put it down. I highly recommend it!

Well, if you’re Mega Crit, the team behind Slay the Spire, you can spend three weeks learning a new engine and put out an awesome free deck-builder.

The game's graphics are impressive, with detailed and beautifully rendered spaceships and environments that really capture the epic scale of interstellar battles. The sound design is also top-notch, with a sweeping orchestral score that helps to create a sense of grandeur and adventure. But the real standout feature of Homeworld Mobile is its gameplay. The game strikes a perfect balance between accessibility and depth, with intuitive touch controls that make it easy to manage your fleet and engage in battles, while still offering plenty of strategic options and tactical depth. The game's campaign mode offers a compelling story that keeps you invested in the fate of your fleet and the fate of the galaxy. And once you've completed the campaign, there are plenty of skirmish and multiplayer modes to keep you coming back for more. One minor issue I encountered with the game was that it occasionally suffered from lag or stuttering on my older phone, but this was a minor annoyance that didn't detract from the overall experience. Overall, Homeworld Mobile is an excellent addition to the series and a must-play for fans of space strategy games.
