Disney Speedstorm is back! And better yet, our addiction to seeing Disney characters hurl bombs and dodge pirate cannons throughout the racetrack has been rewarded with a mobile version. I talked about how great this game was a few months back. And as Disney does its best to infiltrate every entertainment form imaginable, it only makes sense that a game like Speedstorm would make its way to mobile devices. Still, I can’t complain when that transition is so smooth that I’d be convinced the game was initially created for mobile.

From Hollow Knight to Blasphemous 2 to, well, most of the Metroid and Castlevania games of the last twenty years, we've played and adored Metroidvanias for a long time now. But for as many of these adventure/exploration-heavy platformers as we've played, we've never seen one that looks quite like Worldless. This upcoming Metroidvania from Spanish game developer Noname Studios uses stark colors and an abstract art style to really stand out from the pack. That's not the only way that it's different, though. In addition to the usual exploration and ability unlocking of this style of game, it uses a clever combat system that mixes turn-based and real-time action.

While both titles in the series take place in a post-apocalyptic world, My Time at Sandrock really made me feel like I was fighting against the environment. SHOULD I PLAY HAMMERWATCH II? Definitely play this if you’re a Diablo IV fan who’s feeling a bit burned out by the nerfs and endless grinding plaguing Blizzard’s big hit of the summer. Hammerwatch II is a cute-looking pixel-art action RPG that doesn’t look all that notable at first glance. Give it a chance, though, and Hammerwatch II opens up to reveal a massive world full of cool dungeons to explore, classes to experiment with, and big bosses to defeat in single combat or alongside friends in co-op.

One thing I noticed in t3 is the lack of unified effort towards a single premier experience, you can play totally different games across casual, ranked and battle royale. The effort is scattered. My proposal is making a single 5 v 5 game mode that can be played across ranked and casual and is the same in both, allowing devs to focus their effort and resources into a single premier experience that borrows from whats good from each of the current game modes.
