Astra: Knights of Veda is a gacha side-scrolling beat ‘em up that features a rich story and world with some really gorgeous accompanying visuals. The story of Astra is incredibly illustrated and decently acted. With the demo being fully voice-acted, it kept me engaged most of the time. It also doesn’t shy away from pretty gnarly stuff which I as a story enthusiast appreciated. Astra operates like a typical 2D side-scrolling beat ‘em up, in a way similar to ASTLIBRA Revision released back in 2022, with a basic attack, dodge, special, and ultimate. You need to use these moves in conjunction with each other to successfully clear each zone. You can also switch your characters on the fly (thanks to a big story reason) to spice things up.

Are you a Sonic fan? I'm afraid I'm not in the same boat. I haven't enjoyed a genuine Sonic game in a long time. I guess I'll never understand the formula. Back then, I was more of a Paper Boy or Tetris guy, along with Zelda and Mario and the occasional Banjo Kazooie, but Sonic never really clicked with me. It's a shame that he's become more of a meme than a household figure for youngsters and gamers alike throughout the years. This game in my opinion is the best open world game of all time. The fact that this game takes over 100-200 hours to beat says it all. This game is huge with so many things to do (273 quests to be exact) making this game insanely fun with new things every turn. The world itself is just under 39 square kilometers (15 square miles). I recommend this game to anyone and everyone interested in games with open worlds and lots of content!

One thing I noticed in t3 is the lack of unified effort towards a single premier experience, you can play totally different games across casual, ranked and battle royale. The effort is scattered. My proposal is making a single 5 v 5 game mode that can be played across ranked and casual and is the same in both, allowing devs to focus their effort and resources into a single premier experience that borrows from whats good from each of the current game modes.
