A Relaxing Yet Fun Indie Game Worth Your Time! - Moonstone Island [3-Min. Review]

Moonstone Island is many things. It’s a monster fighting/catching game with a card battle system. It’s a crafting and resource-gathering chore quest on floating isles in the sky. It even has light social and dating sim elements in there as well. All of this is wrapped in a cutesy, 2D pixel art package. We live day to day and have to manage our time and resources wisely to accomplish as much as we can in our allotted time. These activities can range from mining rocks, cutting down trees, crafting a whole bunch of things, planting and harvesting crops, you name it. There’s a lot of hidden treasures in the wild and smashing a rock open might sometimes lead to a hidden dungeon beneath.

Return To Abyss - A Casual Bullet Heaven

Hey hey! While I don't usually dabble in Bullet Heavens, I'd recently been directed towards Joychasing Games, Return To Abyss. Now, while I've already done a quick review of this game, I have (by this point) nearly doubled my initial playtime. Admittedly, the title of this article isn't inaccurate, as I was able to make a healthy degree of progress even as I piled my way through a small pile of peanut butter sandwiches. Still, that does leave the question- was this bullet-heavy rogue-lite a casual bit of fun, or was it an abysmal experience?

Welcome to the Future, where the truth is hidden amongst all the lies and deception, and who can you trust? You would think this would be a classic city-builder game, but it's unique in how you build your city upward. Roblox meets Battlefield in a massively fun shooter - BattleBit Remastered Quick First Impressions

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it. BattleBit Remastered is a fantastic first-person shooter that trades in the quality of its visuals to prioritize an explosive and engaging combat experience with over two hundred players on a single map. The core gameplay feels similar to a less stressful take on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II or Battlefield. The leveling makes progression a little tedious, but everything else in

One of gaming's first-ever beat 'em ups is back with a remaster of a remake

Only '90s kids will remember this! At least that might have been the case, but thankfully everyone can now return to River City. River City Ransom was released on the NES way back in 1989 and was one of the earliest examples of a beat 'em up on home gaming consoles. Despite being so early, though, it was also much more ambitious than you might expect, with RPG elements, a semi-open world, and loot to collect.

Since Nintendo won't make a new EarthBound game, a solo indie dev made one

If you've never heard of EarthBound, you're missing out. Also known under its Japanese name, Mother, EarthBound is a series of super-quirky Japanese RPGs published by Nintendo from 1999 to 2006. The third game in that series, Mother 3, was never even officially localized to English despite receiving tons of praise and a massive cult fan following. And beyond a surprise English version of the first game in the series, titled

SimCity is abandoned, but Cities: Skylines II is here for all our city-building needs

Can you believe it's been almost a decade since the last SimCity game came out? While EA may have left us city-builder fans in the dust, Paradox stepped up with the excellent Cities: Skylines, which launched back in 2015. And now it's finally almost time for Cities: Skylines II! Besides a huge boost to the graphics, Skylines II boasts a number of exciting additions. The game will feature a more complex weather system where the climate changes across seasons and based on how a map is laid out. Those maps will be up to five times bigger than the first game, and players will have more control over zoning and city utility services. There's even a whole new progression system, including skill trees to help differentiate cities from one another.

Your next trip to Hell just got postponed - Hellboy: Web of Wyrd now releasing October 18

We're pretty stoked for the upcoming new Hellboy game, Hellboy: Web of Wyrd. I mean, just look at this thing in action in the trailer above. It looks like the pages of Hellboy artist Mike Mignola's artwork come to life. If they can pull it off and make it fun, it's going to be killer. Unfortunately, though, we got news today that we'll have to wait just a little bit longer to find out whether they pulled it off or not. Originally planned to launch on October 4, Hellboy: Web of Wyrd has been pushed back two weeks to an October 18 release.

A new RPG from the creators of This War of Mine takes to the magical streets of 20th century Poland

Role-playing video games have taken us on adventures to all sorts of strange locales: grand fantasy landscapes, epic sci-fi universes, sweeping vistas occupied by gods, and otherworldly realms haunted by the dead. However, we've never been swept off to a setting quite like that of The Thaumaturge. That's because this RPG takes place in Warsaw, Poland in the early 20th century—albeit a slightly fantastical version of Warsaw.

Have you ever imagined, you would be chased by a Thomas the Train? Thomas the Train, is the childhood cartoon for most of us. It may be its eerie smile that inspires the Valley of Horrors effect in humans, or it may be the fact that various netizens play with stems and often make up urban legends about it. Roguelite Meets Fighting Game? - BlazBlue Entropy Effect Quick Review

IS ENTROPY EFFECT WORTH WATCHING? Now, I'm a -huge- fan of Roguelites, especially the games that lean a lot heavier into sidescrolling action, or spectacle fighters. Combine that with an overarching fondness for the Blazblue franchise (Though I still need to play Centralfiction), and you can likely see why I was excited to dip my toes into 91Act's BlazBlue: Entropy Effect. And honestly? Despite being an early-access title, the content itself feels incredibly solid.
