We're huge fans of the twisty storytelling and gruesome deaths of the Danganronpa series of visual novels, but there hasn't been a new mainline entry since 2017's Danganronpa V3. With that in mind, we're starting to look elsewhere to get our fix of kidnapped innocents placed into a dastardly game of death. Luckily, we don't have to wait much longer for a game that looks like it might just fill that void.

Hey hey! While I don't usually dabble in Bullet Heavens, I'd recently been directed towards Joychasing Games, Return To Abyss. Now, while I've already done a quick review of this game, I have (by this point) nearly doubled my initial playtime. Admittedly, the title of this article isn't inaccurate, as I was able to make a healthy degree of progress even as I piled my way through a small pile of peanut butter sandwiches. Still, that does leave the question- was this bullet-heavy rogue-lite a casual bit of fun, or was it an abysmal experience?

SHOULD I PLAY FAE FARM? If you’re a big farming game fan, you should absolutely check this one out, but you might want to wait for a patch or a price drop. Fae Farm has an adorable art style and a lot of great ideas, but it has some frustrating issues. Ultimately, those problems didn’t keep me from having fun, but there are better farming games out there, and most of those games are available at a much lower price point.

NIER: AUTOMATA OR NIER: REPLICANT I would love to see a port of Nier: Automata or Nier: Replicant on mobile devices, it would be excellent since the history of these is unmatched and they should definitely they must be part of the catalog of mobile device games. I just think, it wouldn't be a bad idea right?

IS TURBO OVERKILL WORTH THE TRIP? There's definitely going to be an appeal here if you're a fan of existing boomer shooters like Doom, Dusk or waiting for the release of more contemporary titles like Forgive Me, Father 2 or Project Warlock 2. It feels a little light on features when compared to the latest games in the franchise, but it has a streamlined approach to alchemy that makes it a great jumping on point. I’m a longtime Atelier fan, and it felt awesome to go back to the series’ roots and see where it all began.
