Assassin’s Creed Mirage, however, almost looks like a return to the roots of the series, featuring HOODED Assassins again and an exotic locale reminiscent of the first quadrilogy. However, despite everything on surface level looking like a return to form, that actually isn’t the case. So, if you’re looking for a historically-appreciative return to Assassin’s Creed’s roots, Mirage is not exactly what you’re looking for. Still, it does pay homage to the earlier games and has a significantly shorter playtime of 20 hours compared to the newer titles. If you didn’t like the bloat of the new games and wanted a tighter, more focused experience, Mirage might be worth looking into.

Moonstone Island encompasses a lot of different genres and packages them into one cozy experience that’s akin to curling up in a warm blanket. Its gameplay loop is almost therapeutic in a way.
