Hammerwatch II is a cute-looking pixel-art action RPG that doesn’t look all that notable at first glance. Give it a chance, though, and Hammerwatch II opens up to reveal a massive world full of cool dungeons to explore, classes to experiment with, and big bosses to defeat in single combat or alongside friends in co-op.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage, however, almost looks like a return to the roots of the series, featuring HOODED Assassins again and an exotic locale reminiscent of the first quadrilogy. However, despite everything on surface level looking like a return to form, that actually isn’t the case. So, if you’re looking for a historically-appreciative return to Assassin’s Creed’s roots, Mirage is not exactly what you’re looking for. Still, it does pay homage to the earlier games and has a significantly shorter playtime of 20 hours compared to the newer titles. If you didn’t like the bloat of the new games and wanted a tighter, more focused experience, Mirage might be worth looking into.
