It Is a live K-drama live-action based on the popular webtoon series My Gameplay on YouTube 📖 Storyline: It is set in a historical version of the Korean Joseon Dynasty (that would be modern Korea) around 1600 AD. here a special herb was created capable of resurrecting the dead and transforming them into ferocious zombies to successfully resist the invasion from Japan. But of course the existence of this herb will cause havoc even after the battle. Here comes the crown prince, Lee Chang, of Joseon, who will attempt to investigate the mysterious illness that has recently afflicted the king, only to find himself trapped in the middle of a deadly epidemic that will devastate his kingdom, but while trying to save him will trace back to a political conspiracy in turmoil with the intent to take over the throne. Unfortunately, in a kingdom defeated not only by corruption and famine, the crown prince, framed for treason and desperate to save his people, will embark on a journey to reveal what evil hides in the darkness.
🎮 Gameplay: The title: "Kingdom" (desired by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of South Korea) and it is no coincidence that we will be catapulted by its loyalty to the Korean heritage, in the clothing of the two characters, in the architecture and in the fighting , just as happens in the film of the same name from which it took inspiration: "The Kingdom of the Gods"; the feature film can be seen in the original language thanks to Netflix. At first glance, after a long wait for 4Gb, we find ourselves faced with the customization of Lee Chang (there is also a female character) - as happens with Assassin's Creed: Codename Jade - we will be able to choose not only the "GaT" (Korean clothing ) but also have fun with facial features, skin color, etc. Before the changes are confirmed we will also be able to insert a pseudonym and... shortly after we admire Lee and the way in which the clothes flutter during an action skill is something that leaves you amazed for the realistic reproduction of the smallest details starting from the buildings traditional with a detailed view of the curvature of the tiles and ray tracing that reflects the rain. The details are impressive, we will be able to relive the beauty of Korea that captured the world. The clashes with the different zombies are adrenaline-filled and require quick reflexes as they appear in aggressive mode! The gore scenes are reminiscent of the movie Kill Bill. These fight scenes, which are actually based on traditional Korean martial arts, were created with realistic animations, as is the case for console and PC gaming, thanks to the help of motion capture, although the movement of the zombies sometimes it may seem a little clunky. Some boss battles are also shown, which are very difficult to overcome as each one shows its own clash peculiarities which makes it difficult to understand what their weak points are. These difficult matches tend to be entertaining but above all they are adrenaline-filled clashes. Starting from the first saber strike, combat mainly involves several sword strikes, shown with action icons on the right side of the screen, including parries, dodges and special abilities. There is also some sort of score counter and a timer.
🕹️ Controls: The fun with the action is based on the control of the various icons on the screen, there is also a crosshair that allows you not to miss the enemy and attack him without missing lethal shots. every time a zombie manages to bite Lee, bleeding animations begin, to overcome this you need to cool off in the barrels scattered around the battlefield. There is no map but a sort of light trail, almost like a mistral wind, which allows you not to get lost. Be careful that zombies appear suddenly, run fast and attack menacingly, so immediately tap the corresponding icons. We will experience exhausting battles with zombies.
