I've spent nearly 10 hours on this game now, and I can assure you there are no glitches or lag in the main narrative. You can even play using the lower-starred characters, although I got lucky and drew Lilya (which was exciting!) Square Enix has spent the past few years rebuilding a lot of its old-school credibility with a bunch of high-quality pixel-art games using what that publisher calls "HD-2D" visuals. Think stuff like Octopath Traveler, where it's using pixel visuals that would feel at home on the Super Nintendo, but with a level of quality that classic hardware couldn't possibly pull off. It's a wonder that more other publishers and developers haven't tried to follow Square's example, which is why I was immediately interested in Knightingale, a gacha game with JRPG aesthetics and an absolutely beautiful look being created by NetEase. And while the first closed beta for Knightingale definitely has some very big technical issues, I'm impressed and cautiously optimistic with the actual game here.

OuterPlane is a recently released anime hero collector gacha game that I had me interested almost immediately. Gameplay wise you play as K, a young boy who was summoned to this fantasy world and at first are helping a princess I believe, to stop the end of their world. But after a major early twist, his mission goes to more of a revenge story to get back at those who betrayed his trust. When downloading the game, I was only given the option to install English voice overs, so sadly there is no Japanese or any other voice language pack available in this game. The story content plays off like a visual novel, something very common in anime style hero collector gacha games, but sadly the story content is not voice acted at all, not even simple words are said during these scenes.

It's actually a good game. Worth staying long as you got the moolah to stay strong and not left behind. F2P should be a doable experience long as you got a friend to play with to make it bearable. Playing it alone is kinda lonely not unless you want to follow the story then the game itself is good in that aspect. The sounds selection in every menu is quite good taste. Two-thumbs up to music team. The game is good gameplay wise. It has Auto-play. Good character design. I'll missed Echo and Shiro, I guess. The game will stay good long as they don't jump into ai bandwagon. So, good luck and keep it up.
