I’ve never played Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, but Nier: Automata just might be my favorite video game of all time. It’s got everything I want in games: awesome battles, an emotional story, and an incredibly loveable cast of characters. I’m always happy to spend more time with characters like 2B, and that’s why the upcoming Goddess of Victory: NIKKE x NieR:Automata crossover event has me curious. I don’t know exactly what the collaboration will involve, but I do know that 2B, A2, and a few other characters will be visiting NIKKE’s world. SHOULD I PLAY TOKYO GHOUL: BREAK THE CHAINS? Skip it, unless you’re really, really into Tokyo Ghoul. Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains presents the exact same stuff I’ve seen a million times before across the long string of samey mobile gacha games I’ve tried over the years. It doesn’t contain an original idea in its gameplay or design. This lack of originality would make for a boring game no matter what, but it’s especially disappointing given the brilliance of the anime, light novel series, and manga it’s based on.

If you couldn’t get enough of Honkai: Star Rail and found yourself thinking? Is there something similar that’s worth playing? Aether Gazer could be the game for you. Like Honkai: Star Rail and Wuthering Waves, it’s an Action RPG with gacha elements. You can expect to level and collect different characters, get daily rewards for playing, and get new combat abilities that show off the game’s dynamic visuals. But if you’re looking for something truly unique, you’ll be left wanting. Nothing here hasn’t been done in the genre and the overall sci-fi narrative that initially showed promise was generic and confusing. However, if you don’t care about any of that and are just looking for something that looks great and allows you to hack-n-slash and collect heroes, you won’t be disappointed.

Yinlin is definitely the one for me. She represents exactly the type of character I am drawn to.
