I love tower defense games, but I've played so many over the years that it's tough to find one that does something new. With that in mind, Defense Derby definitely surprised and impressed me! It starts out looking like the typical gacha-heavy, merge-style tower defense game that's become so popular on mobile in recent years, but there's a lot more going on here. The real core of Defense Derby's brilliance is in the method of recruiting new units for the four players going against each other in any given match. In between waves of monster attacks, a single unit will be made available, and players must each put in a bid for that unit. The player with the highest bid (or players, if multiple players bid the same amount) pay that price and get the unit in exchange.

Valiant Force 2 is a recently released anime gacha game that I found myself playing for quite some time and for the most part it was fairly enjoyable. The story part of the game has a lot of cinematics and conversational cut scenes, but while the early cut scenes did have voice acting, once you progressed further into the game, the voice acting was removed and you were left reading the story. I personally am not a fan of these sorts of situations, I'd much rather they stick with the voice acting if they are going to start off with it.

Though it's just over one minute long, it's packed with content, let's delve into each of the details. ⭐️  Three New City Block The trailer starts by showing three brand new city block settings.

If hot waifus and hero collecting are your thing, then Stella Fantasy might be something you want to check out. What I enjoyed most about this game were the visual elements and free-roaming aspects, which were impressive on the highest graphic settings. Not to mention a musical opening that legitimately caught me by surprise but in a good way. But despite the hotties, the fantastic combat, and the interesting story, it's hard to discuss Stella Fantasy without bringing up its PTW elements. In Stella Fantasy, you can sell your characters as NFTs on the crypto market. That might sound appealing to some, but to collect characters, you must invest some real-life money because the drop rates are so low. Stella Fantasy's entire mechanic is based on this PTW element, meaning if you're just interested in collecting hot waifus or the combat, you will be frustrated.

Grand Quest just entered open beta, and as someone who's always searching for my next go-to gacha game, I had to give it a shot. So far, I'm definitely pretty impressed, though it has some work to go. Perhaps the biggest surprise in Grand Quest, especially when compared to other gacha games, is that the story is pretty entertaining and well-translated.
