Here's my review after playing since January 2024: 🎮 Gameplay: This game is an Idle RPG where players take on the role of a Savior tasked with assisting numerous Heroines known as Souls. Battles primarily consist of 5 vs. 5 encounters against enemy Souls. The game features a variety of mini-games, including building towns, assigning Souls part-time jobs for resources, and battling invading monsters. Additionally, players can engage in dates with their Souls.

Summary: Welcome to "Kingdom," an abandoned large-scale theme park where you will meet a diverse cast of animal friends and embark on a miraculous adventure with them. But beware of the azure monsters scattered throughout the Kingdom! With the help of your animal friends' unique characteristics and the landform organs' mechanisms, you can overcome these mysterious enemies and save the Kingdom together.

I love tower defense games, but I've played so many over the years that it's tough to find one that does something new. With that in mind, Defense Derby definitely surprised and impressed me! It starts out looking like the typical gacha-heavy, merge-style tower defense game that's become so popular on mobile in recent years, but there's a lot more going on here. The real core of Defense Derby's brilliance is in the method of recruiting new units for the four players going against each other in any given match. In between waves of monster attacks, a single unit will be made available, and players must each put in a bid for that unit. The player with the highest bid (or players, if multiple players bid the same amount) pay that price and get the unit in exchange.

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Absolutely play it. Phantom Blade: Executioners is a flashy action game that mixes the best elements of classic side-scrolling 2D brawlers—think Streets of Rage and Golden Axe—with a deep yet approachable combo-based fighting system that feels like something out of Devil May Cry. The result is a brilliantly fun, bite-sized title that’s worth some time even if you’re tired of gacha games.

I don't particularly enjoy Hoyoverse games because gacha-style mechanics aren't my main interest. It's about the story and the characters for me, and while this game has plenty of both, it's a little deeper outside of the prologue.

SHOULD I PLAY ASTRA: KNIGHTS OF VEDA? If you’ve been searching for a dark fantasy action RPG, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on Astra: Knights of Veda. It blends vibrant, painting-like visuals with old-school beat-em-up gameplay, and that combination is fantastic. There’s also a dark story with elements of Lovecraftian horror and a gacha system. I ran into some issues during my time with the demo, but the game is really promising overall, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of it.

I love tower defense games, and I have a self-admitted weakness for gacha when it's done right, so of course Watcher of Realms was going to appeal to me! In this title, each of my towers was represented in the form of a character I could pull from the gacha and power up individually through leveling, equipping gear, and so on. It's sort of like Defense Derby, but with a more traditional (read: boring) high fantasy visual style.

If hot waifus and hero collecting are your thing, then Stella Fantasy might be something you want to check out. What I enjoyed most about this game were the visual elements and free-roaming aspects, which were impressive on the highest graphic settings. Not to mention a musical opening that legitimately caught me by surprise but in a good way. But despite the hotties, the fantastic combat, and the interesting story, it's hard to discuss Stella Fantasy without bringing up its PTW elements. In Stella Fantasy, you can sell your characters as NFTs on the crypto market. That might sound appealing to some, but to collect characters, you must invest some real-life money because the drop rates are so low. Stella Fantasy's entire mechanic is based on this PTW element, meaning if you're just interested in collecting hot waifus or the combat, you will be frustrated.

Using her third eye and the Matrix of Prescience, Fu Xuan calculates the Xianzhou's route and predicts the fortune of future events. She firmly believes that everything she does is the "best solution" for the situation. Fu Xuan is waiting for the general's promised "abdication." However, that day still seems... very far away.

🎨 Graphics: I think one of the best things in this game it's the art and character designs, I've never seen something so good like this in mobile gachas and I'm honestly impressed 🎮 Gameplay: turn based, works a bit like arknight's gameplay, very fun but probably not everyone's cup of tea 📖 Storyline: very good storyline with very well written characters, I'm surprised at the depth of these stories and how 'poetic' in a way they are
