For me Nikke has been one of my constant favorite Gacha's since it's beta release. It's been a love hate thing at times though. Sometimes the gacha RNG is awesome and sometimes not so much. But this is my absolute favorite gacha! For the time being the devs honestly seem to really care about feedback and suggestions. This game is definitely improving with every patch, hotfix, and major update. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds in store for Nikke.

I love tower defense games, and I have a self-admitted weakness for gacha when it's done right, so of course Watcher of Realms was going to appeal to me! In this title, each of my towers was represented in the form of a character I could pull from the gacha and power up individually through leveling, equipping gear, and so on. It's sort of like Defense Derby, but with a more traditional (read: boring) high fantasy visual style.

Probably the best game of the year for me. Simple, elegant, entertaining, plenty of events and really good design quality. The characters are lovely, you get to know all of them with a certain depth, and Velanna won't let you forget things. 10/10, having lots of fun. The community is great as well.

Echocalyspe: The Scarlet Covenant is a waifu-collector auto-battling gacha game that you probably can’t play in public and needs a better Google Play Store description. Anyway, with the jokes aside, like its name suggests, Echocalypse takes place after the downfall of the world as we know it. Valiant Force 2 is a recently released anime gacha game that I found myself playing for quite some time and for the most part it was fairly enjoyable. The story part of the game has a lot of cinematics and conversational cut scenes, but while the early cut scenes did have voice acting, once you progressed further into the game, the voice acting was removed and you were left reading the story. I personally am not a fan of these sorts of situations, I'd much rather they stick with the voice acting if they are going to start off with it.

At soft pity and already got Jing Yuan so I can't afford to roll anymore. Seems like Asta will be my only support character for good while... To make it worse, I even pre-farmed for her before the banner. Fortunately, Asta isn't too bad instead of Tingyun...

Square Enix has spent the past few years rebuilding a lot of its old-school credibility with a bunch of high-quality pixel-art games using what that publisher calls "HD-2D" visuals. Think stuff like Octopath Traveler, where it's using pixel visuals that would feel at home on the Super Nintendo, but with a level of quality that classic hardware couldn't possibly pull off. It's a wonder that more other publishers and developers haven't tried to follow Square's example, which is why I was immediately interested in Knightingale, a gacha game with JRPG aesthetics and an absolutely beautiful look being created by NetEase. And while the first closed beta for Knightingale definitely has some very big technical issues, I'm impressed and cautiously optimistic with the actual game here.

Qui Bai is one of my most anticipated operators coming to Arknights global this year and she's finally here. Compared to majority of operators released in the last few months, she may not be as META but definitely a WAIFU Going into the story (spoiler free), I knew it would be alot more personal and not really serve any of the overarching plotlines in Arknights (as it is a mini event story). Still the story managed to convey a great lesson in how "one injustice" even if for the betterment of everyone can spiral into "two injustice" and so on until eventually the good intent behind those actions initially are all faded away
