I love tower defense games, and I have a self-admitted weakness for gacha when it's done right, so of course Watcher of Realms was going to appeal to me! In this title, each of my towers was represented in the form of a character I could pull from the gacha and power up individually through leveling, equipping gear, and so on. It's sort of like Defense Derby, but with a more traditional (read: boring) high fantasy visual style.

Epic Seven is a great mobile game that has been around for a long time, the game has constant development and new features added in, not to mention the collaborations they always have with cool anime like the current one with OVERLORD! ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~ Gameplay & Modes Story mode/ Campaign: this is your typical story mode with multiple stages to complete and they have new ones added every now and then.

Here's my review after playing since January 2024: 🎮 Gameplay: This game is an Idle RPG where players take on the role of a Savior tasked with assisting numerous Heroines known as Souls. Battles primarily consist of 5 vs. 5 encounters against enemy Souls. The game features a variety of mini-games, including building towns, assigning Souls part-time jobs for resources, and battling invading monsters. Additionally, players can engage in dates with their Souls.

Developed by Shift Up who are well known for their other super popular anime game: Destiny Child. And published by Level Infinite, who is also tied to Tower of Fantasy. If you're familiar with Destiny Child and Shift Up, you should probably have a pretty good idea with what you can expect, art wise in NIKKE. Especially since one of the illustrators from Destiny Child is the one who did the artwork for NIKKE. SHOULD I PLAY DANMACHI BATTLE CHRONICLE? Only play it if you really like DanMachi. DanMachi Battle Chronicle is a visually stunning gacha game based on the popular light novel/manga/anime series DanMachi or Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? in its full English title. The game features a well-made story backed by great voice acting and cutscenes, but it falls short with everything else: repetitive gameplay, slow progression, limited content, and a poorly designed shop.

SHOULD I PLAY REVERSE: 1999? Play it if you love JRPGs, card games, or vaguely human-shaped collectibles. Reverse: 1999 takes place in a world where time is moving backwards. You command a group of Arcanists, which are basically like time-travelers, that can survive the shift between eras and must fight to protect the future. The story has a nice mix of science fiction and fantasy elements, but it’s the lively cast of characters that really bring the setting to life. I really felt invested in the characters I controlled, and for me, that’s what takes an RPG from good to great.

The latest patch 3.0 for Aether Gazer introduced a slew of new content including the main story chapter 19. Not only was it really interesting, it also did some nice world building and gave the poster girl of Aether Gazer more character development. It also had some of the best cutscenes I have seen in Aether Gazer so far. The quality of them really blew my mind! (SPOILER WARNING for Main Story Chapter 19)
