Genshin Impact is synonymous with the gacha game industry - by that, I mean that it's literally the first name that pops up when you think of the term alone. Sure, it may be for the right reasons, but going into this for the long term, this game is just NOT it. Sometimes. I still vividly remember the first time I was recommended this game by my friend (it's been a whole 367 days since he was last online 0_o). At the time, Inazuma had just come out and it was the period when Genshin had seen the highest influx in new players joining the game, so I am pretty familiar with the game.

I love tower defense games, but I've played so many over the years that it's tough to find one that does something new. With that in mind, Defense Derby definitely surprised and impressed me! It starts out looking like the typical gacha-heavy, merge-style tower defense game that's become so popular on mobile in recent years, but there's a lot more going on here. The real core of Defense Derby's brilliance is in the method of recruiting new units for the four players going against each other in any given match. In between waves of monster attacks, a single unit will be made available, and players must each put in a bid for that unit. The player with the highest bid (or players, if multiple players bid the same amount) pay that price and get the unit in exchange.

Imagine waking up and learning you’re a god with a group of sexy lady knights who are all attracted to you and ready to serve at your beck and call. If it sounds like a teenage boy’s fantasy, you’re not wrong, but it’s also the plot of Master of Knights! But don’t get me wrong. If that little synopsis isn’t precisely your schtick, there are plenty of things in Master of Knights to enjoy. This gacha-styled turn-based RPG has plenty of the familiar elements you’ll find in the genre: paid summons and auto features to speed through battles, but the unique combat mechanic made me feel like playing a game of chess as opposed to a traditional gacha. But from the moment I started, it was the visuals that really made this title unique.

It's been a year since the First Test, and Zenless Zone Zero has finally got some exciting news!! At the Gamescom in the early hours of today, it released a new trailer featuring new Interaction systems and Combat elements. For me Nikke has been one of my constant favorite Gacha's since it's beta release. It's been a love hate thing at times though. Sometimes the gacha RNG is awesome and sometimes not so much. But this is my absolute favorite gacha! For the time being the devs honestly seem to really care about feedback and suggestions. This game is definitely improving with every patch, hotfix, and major update. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds in store for Nikke.

I love tower defense games, and I have a self-admitted weakness for gacha when it's done right, so of course Watcher of Realms was going to appeal to me! In this title, each of my towers was represented in the form of a character I could pull from the gacha and power up individually through leveling, equipping gear, and so on. It's sort of like Defense Derby, but with a more traditional (read: boring) high fantasy visual style.

Every since I returned to Honkai Star Rail back in 6th February of this year, there has been 5 characters I wanted to acquire: Black Swan, Acheron, Firefly, Ruan Mei and Kafka. I already have Black Swan and Acheron and Firefly is finally here after 4+ months of waiting along with Ruan Mei. First of all, this game is very similar to Mobile Legends : Adventure (Almost identical). I'm usually a picky person when it comes to character illustrations and UI. I absolutely love the Character designs in this game. That's what got me hooked. There are a lot of things to do everyday after logging in and it's not that time consuming either. Gacha rate is somewhat fair and as a F2P do you get almost the same amount of rewards as the high ranked whales (not necessarily F2P friendly, but you can still enjoy the game). Gameplay is progressive, you can kinda look forward to the daily reset each day.
