While the story begun with a dark interlude, I absolutely loved it-frame to frame, although given my deprivation potency, I wasn't quite, well dealing with the post-guilt at the interlude, aside the fact, the game was an immediate immersion, every character in the game is so quintessential with their given role and jesus!-their beauty is from a distinct dimension; it's difficult to bring comparison and ultimately pulling a character that you won't regret because the next one is always better, they say .The corporation is well aware of their player base . Square Enix has spent the past few years rebuilding a lot of its old-school credibility with a bunch of high-quality pixel-art games using what that publisher calls "HD-2D" visuals. Think stuff like Octopath Traveler, where it's using pixel visuals that would feel at home on the Super Nintendo, but with a level of quality that classic hardware couldn't possibly pull off. It's a wonder that more other publishers and developers haven't tried to follow Square's example, which is why I was immediately interested in Knightingale, a gacha game with JRPG aesthetics and an absolutely beautiful look being created by NetEase. And while the first closed beta for Knightingale definitely has some very big technical issues, I'm impressed and cautiously optimistic with the actual game here.

SHOULD I PLAY DEVIL MAY CRY: PEAK OF COMBAT? It’s worth checking out, but you might want to keep your expectations in check, especially if you played the beta. I was really impressed with Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat during its beta, but since then, the combat system has been seriously downgraded. The best proof I can give that Tower of God: New World is actually worth it compared to the average idle gacha game? Well, playing it was enough to convince me to actually check out the Tower of God manhwa and anime series, both of which I was completely unfamiliar with prior to checking out New World. It takes a damn good game to have that effect on me. Part of the reason Tower of God: New World actually pulls off that impressive feat is that it actually does a great job of presenting the story from the source material. New World has a ton of different modes, but there are two I spent most of my time in: adventure and story.

AFK Arena is one of the most addictive idle games I've ever played, but AFK Journey improves upon it in every way. Everything about it is amazing, from its stunning character designs to its strategic battles to its immersive world. While it's techniquely an idle battler, it's a game that's impossible to tear yourself away from. There's always something to do in AFK Journey, and if you feel like playing it for hours, you can absolutely do so. That flexibility might be my favorite thing about the game. The gameplay had me hooked right from the start, so I got in a good long play session before I took my first break. When I came back, there were tons of idle rewards waiting for me. I love that I can switch between playing it non-stop and treating it as a standard idle game.

SHOULD I PLAY BLADE OF GOD II: ORISOLS? If you’re absolutely obsessed with Soulslike games, have exhausted the myriad of other strong recent releases in that subgenre—like Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen—and truly believe that you want to experience this type of game on the go, then sure. Grand Quest just entered open beta, and as someone who's always searching for my next go-to gacha game, I had to give it a shot. So far, I'm definitely pretty impressed, though it has some work to go. Perhaps the biggest surprise in Grand Quest, especially when compared to other gacha games, is that the story is pretty entertaining and well-translated. Much of it is told through stylish comic book-panel cutscenes, and I was shocked to find myself actually enjoying getting to know these characters.
