I went into the closed beta test for Kemono Friends: Kingdom knowing basically nothing about this franchise beyond the fact that there has been at least one previous mobile game and a semi-popular anime series. So if you're a hardcore fan, know that my opinion is based solely on the little bit I've played of this latest mobile game in the series and nothing else. That said, that little bit I've played is pretty dang fun! Kemono Friends takes place in a world where animals have been transformed into anime waifus, who in turn are at war with a more aggressive breed of mutated creature called "Ceruleans." I took on the role of a newcomer to this strange world who had amnesia but was able to help out in the fight against the Ceruleans.

I’ve never played Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, but Nier: Automata just might be my favorite video game of all time. It’s got everything I want in games: awesome battles, an emotional story, and an incredibly loveable cast of characters. I’m always happy to spend more time with characters like 2B, and that’s why the upcoming Goddess of Victory: NIKKE x NieR:Automata crossover event has me curious. I don’t know exactly what the collaboration will involve, but I do know that 2B, A2, and a few other characters will be visiting NIKKE’s world. In the trailer, you can see one of my favorite Nier: Automata characters, Pascal, holding a Lunar Tear. If they were looking for a way to tug at my heartstrings, they found it.

SHOULD I PLAY ECHOCALYPSE: SCARLET COVENANT? Don’t play this. Echocalypse: Scarlet Covenant doesn’t present anything unique that could differentiate it from the hundreds of other boring gacha games out there. The gameplay has no depth, the characters have no personality, and the storyline isn’t exciting at all. There’s just no reason to give this game any time. SHOULD I PLAY INFINITE BORDERS? Play it—especially if you’re into strategy games or titles set in the Three Kingdoms era. Infinite Borders has everything that makes a strategy game of this type fun to play. Roaming through the massive map, conquering enemies, recruiting troops, and the crisp graphics all contribute to a positive playthrough experience, even if there are pay-to-win elements to be found.

SHOULD I PLAY REVERSE: 1999? Play it if you love JRPGs, card games, or vaguely human-shaped collectibles. Reverse: 1999 takes place in a world where time is moving backwards. You command a group of Arcanists, which are basically like time-travelers, that can survive the shift between eras and must fight to protect the future. The story has a nice mix of science fiction and fantasy elements, but it’s the lively cast of characters that really bring the setting to life. I really felt invested in the characters I controlled, and for me, that’s what takes an RPG from good to great.

When was the last time you got sucked into your phone and entered a land of hot waifu and husbando anime characters? If this premise interests you, Grand Cross: Age of Titans, Netmarble’s latest RTS release, might be the game for you. Grand Cross: Age of Titans did a great job creating a colorful world with fully-voiced characters and an interesting, if not cliched, narrative that effectively held my attention for the first few hours of playing.

A very enjoyable game. The combat system is clear and convenient, all the characters are different, and you will definitely be able to find your loved one. 🥺 The lottery is not greedy, but it also makes you sweat to get a good character. 👌🏻 There is more than enough energy to play normally.☺️ Of the disadvantages, I can only note long downloads of updates and sometimes "artifacts" appear in cut scenes that interfere with immersion. 🤔
