The best proof I can give that Tower of God: New World is actually worth it compared to the average idle gacha game? Well, playing it was enough to convince me to actually check out the Tower of God manhwa and anime series, both of which I was completely unfamiliar with prior to checking out New World. It takes a damn good game to have that effect on me. SHOULD I PLAY ATELIER RESLERIANA? If you’re a big fan of the Atelier franchise or are looking for a cute, chill gacha game, Atelier Resleriana definitely deserves a closer look. That said, if you’re expecting a full-scale Atelier game, Resleriana might be a disappointment. Officially speaking, this is a mainline entry in the Atelier series, but it feels like a spin-off. SHOULD I PLAY ASTRA: KNIGHTS OF VEDA? If you’ve been searching for a dark fantasy action RPG, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on Astra: Knights of Veda. It blends vibrant, painting-like visuals with old-school beat-em-up gameplay, and that combination is fantastic. There’s also a dark story with elements of Lovecraftian horror and a gacha system. I ran into some issues during my time with the demo, but the game is really promising overall, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of it.

SHOULD I PLAY REVERSE: 1999? Play it if you love JRPGs, card games, or vaguely human-shaped collectibles. Reverse: 1999 takes place in a world where time is moving backwards. You command a group of Arcanists, which are basically like time-travelers, that can survive the shift between eras and must fight to protect the future. The story has a nice mix of science fiction and fantasy elements, but it’s the lively cast of characters that really bring the setting to life. I really felt invested in the characters I controlled, and for me, that’s what takes an RPG from good to great.
