It blends vibrant, painting-like visuals with old-school beat-em-up gameplay, and that combination is fantastic. There’s also a dark story with elements of Lovecraftian horror and a gacha system. I ran into some issues during my time with the demo, but the game is really promising overall, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of it.

If hot waifus and hero collecting are your thing, then Stella Fantasy might be something you want to check out. What I enjoyed most about this game were the visual elements and free-roaming aspects, which were impressive on the highest graphic settings. Not to mention a musical opening that legitimately caught me by surprise but in a good way. But despite the hotties, the fantastic combat, and the interesting story, it's hard to discuss Stella Fantasy without bringing up its PTW elements. In Stella Fantasy, you can sell your characters as NFTs on the crypto market. That might sound appealing to some, but to collect characters, you must invest some real-life money because the drop rates are so low. Stella Fantasy's entire mechanic is based on this PTW element, meaning if you're just interested in collecting hot waifus or the combat, you will be frustrated.

SHOULD I PLAY PHANTOM BLADE: EXECUTIONERS? Absolutely play it. Phantom Blade: Executioners is a flashy action game that mixes the best elements of classic side-scrolling 2D brawlers—think Streets of Rage and Golden Axe—with a deep yet approachable combo-based fighting system that feels like something out of Devil May Cry. The result is a brilliantly fun, bite-sized title that’s worth some time even if you’re tired of gacha games.

Developed by Shift Up who are well known for their other super popular anime game: Destiny Child. And published by Level Infinite, who is also tied to Tower of Fantasy. NIKKE's story is deep and really dark but also very entertaining too. Most of the jokes are carried by Neon and Anis, and Anis sure does have the best disappointed face in the game. I think she's the only one with that face emote to be honest. The game does however get very dark, and numerous times I've felt like my NIKKE are in danger of losing their lives in the story cinematics. It doesn't help that the ending of the tutorial drops a nice big dose of feels into the game, and that's only in less than an hour of playing it. Pretty much setting the tone for this game.

I’ve never played Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, but Nier: Automata just might be my favorite video game of all time. It’s got everything I want in games: awesome battles, an emotional story, and an incredibly loveable cast of characters. I’m always happy to spend more time with characters like 2B, and that’s why the upcoming Goddess of Victory: NIKKE x NieR:Automata crossover event has me curious. I don’t know exactly what the collaboration will involve, but I do know that 2B, A2, and a few other characters will be visiting NIKKE’s world.
