Astra: Knights of Veda is a gacha side-scrolling beat ‘em up that features a rich story and world with some really gorgeous accompanying visuals. Character sprites look wonderful and full of personality, and the game’s voice acting and direction are decent. Still, this is only the demo. Balanced Cons: (Temporary minus) I would like more Pokemon. Basically, Pokemon are paid and you will have to sweat a little to open a new Pokemon.Not developed head chat and interaction between players in non-games (there are only clans and a list of friends)

Roto Force is a new 2D bullet hell action game. You play as a slug trapped inside a shape (square or circle) and must bounce around the edges and shoot enemies. The game has 9 different weapons for you to use each with its own play style. The game has tons of boss battles that will challenge you hand eye coordination. Roto Force really feels like an old school hardcore arcade game. The graphics are simplistic with reach level having no more than 4 colors. The shape you are in will spin as you move and bounce from one end to the other. This is a fun idea but for those sensitive to so much motion it can make you feel a little dizzy at times.

From Hollow Knight to Blasphemous 2 to, well, most of the Metroid and Castlevania games of the last twenty years, we've played and adored Metroidvanias for a long time now. But for as many of these adventure/exploration-heavy platformers as we've played, we've never seen one that looks quite like Worldless. This upcoming Metroidvania from Spanish game developer Noname Studios uses stark colors and an abstract art style to really stand out from the pack. That's not the only way that it's different, though. In addition to the usual exploration and ability unlocking of this style of game, it uses a clever combat system that mixes turn-based and real-time action.

Eternights is a mishmash of a dating sim and a hack’n’slash put into one. As the debut game of the Korean-based studio, Studio Sai, Eternights takes great inspiration from the social elements of Persona, according to the word of its project director, Jae Hyun Joo. Though certainly not perfect, Eternights is an admirable showing from an independent studio capable of even better if they played to their strengths.

This game is just too cute. I love the simplicity of being able to just show up, take some cat photos, fill their food bowl, and redesign to attract new cats. It's the simple games like this one that brings joy in between the big titles I play.
