Not every game needs to be Call of Duty. Here, we celebrate the imaginative games created by solo developers or small teams without a big budget backing them. Recommend us an awesome indie game.

【Developer VLOG】Destructible objects

We have recently been testing new destructible object capabilities within the game. Developers have created a novel feature that implements physically accurate collision and destruction simulations. Items within the virtual environment can now break apart in a manner consistent with real-world material properties when struck by in-game forces such as player characters, weapons, skills or other destructive influences. The new system dynamically models factors like material strength, impact force distribution, fracturing patterns and debris generation.

Black Myth: Wukong 2D | Android

It's one of the biggest titles of the year so far and continues to inspire fanmade creations; the creator, has worked hard to bring this retro version to life, even staying up all night to fix bugs for the initial release. Experience that is headed in a completely different direction, creating a demo of the first chapter in 2D pixels, while the original is characterized by stunning graphics and engaging combat, instead, this pixel adaptation plays on the nostalgia of old-school arcade cabinets, similar to classics like Double Dragon. Again, this version may not have the stunning graphics of the original, but it offers something special: a simple and nostalgic revisitation of Wukong's epic adventure. And for those who are nostalgic for the days of pixelated side-scrollers, it's a small throwback to an era that many of us sixty-somethings still hold dear.

AFTERPLACE - SOLO INDIE DEVS ARE SO DAMN TALENTED!

You start to think about games like Undertale, DeltaRune, EverHood, A Short Hike, StarDew Valley and so many more that are all created by a solo or duo developer, yet they provide you with hours of pure unfiltered amusement and delight, as well as sometimes a very long emotional rollercoaster of sensations that will stop you dead in your tracks. Afterplace is right in the center such masterfully crafted works.
AFTERPLACE - SOLO INDIE DEVS ARE SO DAMN TALENTED!
This game takes a pretty well played out genre(roguelike being in the format of one of the very first RPGs, Rogue) and brings in a new, simple but entertaining system of play that is very refreshing, very unique, and very entertaining for sure. I wish there was more character customization, but all in all a solid game

Spiritle: A new title by Pirate Outlaw Devs, Fabled Games

Hey Folks, thanks for tapping and tuning into my latest sneak peak into indie gaming, with Fabled Games recently released Boardgame - Spiritle. So, let's get right into it, shall we? The Elements Rage Or something. I'll be candid here- While there is a brief narrative intro, it's an excuse plot, at best. In fact, it's so tiny that I can sum up the entirety of it as follows.  An acorn falls from the great world tree, and cracks open to reveal a freshly born soul. Confused by this already weird train of events, you're told by a narcoleptic Marsupial that in order to meet your maker and return to the proverbial womb, you'll need to reach heaven through violence.

Hero Siege, a hidden gem you should play!

Hero Siege: Pocket Edition is a steam-ported game, an indie, role-playing game with multiplayer functions. It's a paid game available on IOS, Android, and Steam, but a hidden gem in my opinion. I played it and made me continue for several days; attempting to get the strongest equipment and straining myself on creating my strongest character ever! (See the picture below for the PC version, not mine)

Wild Legion: Pioneering Blend of Genres

"Wild Legion" introduces a captivating gaming experience combining auto-attack horde survival gameplay and diverse genres. This innovative approach distinguishes it, adding an intriguing layer to the ever-changing landscape of the rogue-like genre. The game seamlessly incorporates elements from neighboring genres, providing players a fresh and dynamic adventure full of excitement and unpredictability. While the demo offers a tempting preview of the potential fun for players, it also highlights the crucial need for optimization. It is critical for "Wild Legion" to provide a smooth and entertaining gameplay experience in order to engage its audience fully. Addressing technical issues becomes crucial, as glitches and performance concerns could disrupt the immersive nature of the game, potentially discouraging players from fully embracing its charm.

After ten years, a unique puzzle platformer returns...with a sister - Teslagrad 2 Quick Impressions

During Nintendo’s April 19 Indie World stream, developer Rain Games made a series of startling announcements: The studio had remastered its 2013 puzzle-platformer Teslagrad, made a sequel called Teslagrad 2, and was launching both games immediately. That’s a lot of Teslagrad news after ten years of near silence! While Teslagrad Remastered doesn’t make any radical changes to the original, that’s not really a problem: It features a timeless hand-animated look that calls to mind classic Don Bluth feature films like

Sick beats, toilet jokes, and tagging - Sludge Life 2 Quick Review

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it if you dig irreverent games like Jazzpunk and don’t mind a bit of bathroom humor. Sludge Life 2 is an anarchic, lo-fi adventure that starts out with a brutal hangover. Players step into the role of street artist Ghost, tagging prime locations as they search for their missing pal Big Mud. Just don’t go in looking for anything resembling a normal game experience. Don’t worry about playing the first game, though—

Dancing Duelists doesn’t have the depth of Slay the Spire, but it’s still a rockin’ good time

Unity’s game engine has historically been popular with indie developers, but recently announced fee changes sparked massive backlash. They eventually walked back some of the changes, and the CEO stepped down, but most game devs aren’t interested in working with Unity in the future. What can they do? Well, if you’re Mega Crit, the team behind Slay the Spire, you can spend three weeks learning a new engine and put out an awesome free deck-builder.
