SHOULD I PLAY METHODS: DETECTIVE COMPETITION? Play it if you like mystery games with a sense of humor. In Methods: Detective Competition, one hundred detectives face off against one hundred master criminals. As you might expect, this plot requires a huge cast of characters, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know all of them. It’s more like a visual novel than an investigation game, but it’s still given me plenty of chances to test out my sleuthing skills.

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it if you’re jumping up and down at the thought of fighting off another alien invasion, tactics style, but skip it if you want a complete campaign right away. Xenonauts 2 arrives in early access, and it includes what the devs describe as sixty-five percent of the full campaign at launch. You can keep playing indefinitely, but the story will halt at about two thirds of the way through, which translates to about ten to fifteen hours of campaign to play at the outset. Don’t let that scare you off if you’re a long-time genre fan, though: Xenonauts 2 is another love letter to the original

Eternights is a mishmash of a dating sim and a hack’n’slash put into one. As the debut game of the Korean-based studio, Studio Sai, Eternights takes great inspiration from the social elements of Persona, according to the word of its project director, Jae Hyun Joo. Though certainly not perfect, Eternights is an admirable showing from an independent studio capable of even better if they played to their strengths.

The Roto Force demo was such a refreshing surprise. It’s not often that a mobile game grabs my interest like this, but I found myself playing all the way through in a single session. It’s a simple idea, almost a retro-arcade concept: run along the ground shooting airborne targets with a variety of weapons. The ingenious twist is that the arenas are circular, and my little militarized slug could leap across to avoid danger or sunder enemy armor.

Many people think that the hardest part of being an Indie Developer is the coding, that is actually the easiest thing... Now a days there are so many free tutorials and educational videos out there that can help you with basically any problem you have. The hardest part is releasing a game, going into Appstore Analytics, or Google Dev Console and see that you got 2 downloads the last day. The truth is, it is hard to get a game to hit. We tend to think that "if I just release my game the downloads will pour in". That is FAR from the truth. When we released Monkey King - Legend of Heroes, I was certain that the first week we would get 1000 downloads just because the game is so good and the feedback from early players has been overwhelmingly positive. 1 month in, we are still pushing around 134 WAU. That is not numbers that make you jump out of bed in the morning. However, just like I mentioned in my earlier post if you have a clear goal and can see on the numbers that the game is good, this is where you need to keep your cool and keep trying all the ways you can to get more downloads. In the case of Monkey King - Legend of Hereos. Even though as of now our downloads is not high, our numbers are incredible. - 22 min average play time - 42% D1 Retention But we will still evaluate further when we have done our first marketing test. Graphically, The Flower of Evil utilizes a hand-drawn style for its characters, props, and scenes. Some scenes will contain some cyberpunk style elements. The graphics of this game are presented in a vertical screen. For mobile users, the operation feels very comfortable and players do not need to turn the screen to play. This game is pretty fun, it has a cool gameplay loop that i feel can be expanded upon alot. The music is also very nice but the looping might get old after playing a bit. The only problem i have other than this is the lack of content, and thats to be expected. Overall its a fun game that ill be keeping up to date with to see more updates. Ps: ill list a few ideas i have for the game if any of the devs see this.

Mind bending series and this is where it all starts. Highly recommend the entire Rusty Lake and Cube escape series. I been following this game for ages and enjoyed every single entry. If you love puzzles, weird stories that pay homage to Twin Peaks, then you're gonna love this series!
