👍 Pros: Finally a game based on the principle of an Arma or a Squad, but on mobile, the game is very complete and receives updates(there was an update very recently to add tanks) 👎 Cons: The optimization is weak or non-existent, I shoot at 10 fps with a bad phone, but normally you shoot around 40-60(A future update is supposed to bring optimization to the game) 🎮 Gameplay: Very busy game with a rather large variety of gameplay(Clans, lots of ground and air vehicles, a ton of weapons and equipment, 2 types of enemies, 2 maps, once the optimization is done the developers want to add planes)

Many people think that the hardest part of being an Indie Developer is the coding, that is actually the easiest thing... Now a days there are so many free tutorials and educational videos out there that can help you with basically any problem you have. The hardest part is releasing a game, going into Appstore Analytics, or Google Dev Console and see that you got 2 downloads the last day. The truth is, it is hard to get a game to hit. We tend to think that "if I just release my game the downloads will pour in". That is FAR from the truth. When we released Monkey King - Legend of Heroes, I was certain that the first week we would get 1000 downloads just because the game is so good and the feedback from early players has been overwhelmingly positive. 1 month in, we are still pushing around 134 WAU. That is not numbers that make you jump out of bed in the morning. However, just like I mentioned in my earlier post if you have a clear goal and can see on the numbers that the game is good, this is where you need to keep your cool and keep trying all the ways you can to get more downloads. In the case of Monkey King - Legend of Hereos. Even though as of now our downloads is not high, our numbers are incredible. - 22 min average play time - 42% D1 Retention But we will still evaluate further when we have done our first marketing test. SHOULD I PLAY HELSKATE? Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater fans should definitely give this a look. That said, you might want to wait until it’s had a few updates. Helskate is a hack-and-slash roguelike that also happens to be a skateboarding game, and it just hit early access. It’s a ton of fun to shift between monster slaying and skateboarding tricks, but I ran into several issues during my playtime. If you pick it up now, you’ll probably have a good time, but I suspect it’ll be much better once it’s had more time in the oven.
