Going in, I thought this was just an Infinitode clone. Boy, am I glad I was wrong! Refractor is a pixel tower defense game with the idea that you could influence the path that the enemies would walk through. Personally, I like the art style. There's really just something nostalgic with pixel-art games that really draws me in. With regards to the game mechanics, it really is just a tower defense game with a few innovations. Each turret you build has a set of random neutral tiles that can serve as the enemies pathway. This game element is what really drives the strategy here since you have to be careful in placing turrets if you also want to extend the enemies path to the end portal.

In fact, there are four other special Bulbasaur i want to talk about today! Take a seat and get ready for a delightful Bulbasaur adventure! 🌿 Ash's Bulbasaur: Ash Ketchum encountered Bulbasaur in the Hidden Village, marking the species' physical debut. After a battle, Bulbasaur was caught. And it remained in Ash's party for most of his journey.

The gameplay was surprisingly fun, and can be a bit challenging. You have to carefully  place the turrets, mind your positioning and using your tools to your advantage. The pixel graphic was very nice and the music was pretty good. The presentation of the story was.. okay and the plot was kinda predictable, but it's still pretty enjoyable imho. Biggest downside was the control. It's not that bad, but it could be much better.

Bridge reappear is a Match 3 puzzle bridged with rpg adventure. It's fun and nostalgic as it reminds of candy crush. Also it has to be played strategically as the next move depends on which item has been matched, such as, heal or attack and so on. The enemies get stronger along with the progression, but one thing i really miss is an ultimate power attack. It would be really fun to have something like rage, or combo.

Bright Reappear can be so much more. Bright Reappear is a match 3 RPG where you play as a hero(Warrior in this demo version) to defeat the darkness. Unlike other match 3 games, in Bright Reappear, you can move 2 or more tiles simultaneously. There are only 4 chapters as this is a demo version. There are 4 types of icons to match- Attack, Book, Health and Gold. Matching 6 icons of any type generates blue lightning and matching 9 generates purple lightning.

It’s very good for an indie developer, although it could be better, you can directly see where the game could be improved, but what is, that’s why I will support the studio’s initiatives and put 3 out of 5 (just so that they understand that they have made a good product and be inspired to move on, improve their work in the future). The overall content of the game is great, I know that the devs are fans of RE franchise based on their previous post but there's just too much similarities of the games that it feels like another clone. No hate to the devs though, they did a great job at making puzzles, making the map feel big and setting the atmosphere but playing the game in vertical is a big turn off for me (idk if there's a function for it to be landscape), I don't like playing games in vertical as it make the game feel cramped. Things I also noticed are the buttons, the game tutorial says press x but there's no button for it and the way to do it is either hold the object or tap it, and the virtual joystick, it always moves which is irritating.

It's still on demo so there isn't that much to play. Basically, the whole game is just an incomplete tutorial. I say incomplete because clearly, there are more gameplay mechanics they haven't taught me yet. Despite having very little to offer, this game does a great job on providing me with the unique experience of being a hacker doing detective works. And story is not bad at all. The graphics is very beautiful, it has that mesmerizing retro vibes. Imho, the art is best part of the game.
