For some this is unexpected and for some it was a obvious. Refactor had a cool physics based mechanism and the game play was fun, so many expected it to win. But Dwerve had quite a good story and good dynamic tower defence gameplay and i think that's what made it win even though it had some buggs. Nevertheless, i think Dwerve was a deserving winner. I wish the Devs best of luck for future. The playfest truly has some great games and many of it i am gonna keep in my phone for long.

You can never see beyond a certain radius so it actually forces you to move around to really explore your surroundings.

This game immediately caught my attention with its contrasting and  captivating name. The ability to create my own maps and castles using the sandbox editor has me thrilled!

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is a thrilling narrative-driven platformer game developed by Press Play. It’s very good for an indie developer, although it could be better, you can directly see where the game could be improved, but what is, that’s why I will support the studio’s initiatives and put 3 out of 5 (just so that they understand that they have made a good product and be inspired to move on, improve their work in the future). The gameplay was surprisingly fun, and can be a bit challenging. You have to carefully  place the turrets, mind your positioning and using your tools to your advantage. The pixel graphic was very nice and the music was pretty good. The presentation of the story was.. okay and the plot was kinda predictable, but it's still pretty enjoyable imho. Biggest downside was the control. It's not that bad, but it could be much better.

I see you is a great game that does all the aspects of a thriller game right. Great and engaging story with emotions, unique and fun gameplay. Overall it's quite a good game to play and enjoy. Certainly deserves more recognition, the devs did a good job with it. Definately deserves your vote in the Playfest.

It's a pretty good tactical rpg, but I didn't get what exactly the story is about. The dialogue was often getting cut and the speech balloons disappear way too quickly. I liked the way we progress through the stages, but I didn't like the many stages where the victory requirement was just survive. There's was no need for that. I would love if other languages, as Brazilian Portuguese, were included, but for now there's only English.

✨Overview CD 2: Trap Master is a tower defense rogue-like deck-building game that has just recently been released in Early Access form. It is a sequel to the original mobile game Candy Disaster TD, featuring very similar elements, and adds rogue-like deck-building elements to the franchise. Going in blind with this game, the title obviously gave away that this is a game sequel, but I could not find any trace of a predecessor game called “CD” across Steam and the internet until I found out that it was actually titled Candy Disaster TD, primarily a mobile game that was also released on PC. Upon discovering that game, it became apparent that CD 2: Trap Master is indeed a sequel to that title, and these games appear remarkably similar.

Prime of Flames is a wargame/rougelike hybrid with tons of charm in its design. Initially released on Steam just last December, the version I'm reviewing now is the demo for its mobile port. Off-the-bat, the character designs got me hooked! There's just something in how each character was drawn. In my opinion, they're just so pleasing to the eye! And it's not just the characters. The entire game itself is designed to look a bit like it was a storybook fantasy.

A fast-paced bullet hell game. Gotta be honest, this genre barely does it for me since I'm more of a strategy game fan. Still, this game is great in what it does. The graphics are vibrant and it can get kinda hectic when there's a boss battle. I'm sure bullet hell fans can find this title enjoyable when it releases in full.

✨Overview I’ve been on a rogue-like roll recently, and now we’re about to cover yet another game the in the genre with Wild Legion, an upcoming rogue-like survival game with some refreshing twists. I recently played the Demo available on Steam and it’s basically Brotato on steroids, featuring auto-attack horder survival gameplay filled with elements taken from other genres such as tower defense, twin-stick shooting, crafting, and questing. The game is still under development, and set to be release in Early Access on Q1 2024.
