There's no shortage of strategy games out there, it's as if a new one releases every other day even. However, once one actually sits down to take a look, it becomes evident that the term "Strategy" is used very loosely in the turn-based subgenre (i.e., gacha games). Nevertheless, from time to time, the mold gets broken, and a hidden gem emerges. Today, we take a look at one such hidden gem: Prime of Flames.

I'm always talking about in all platforms, the reason of my admiration and why I look for indie games. I will repeat at least the basic: Quality. When we find a team that makes a game with love, really valuing the smallest details, it's impossible not to create affection for the game become more and more curious about what will happen during this journey. Hands down the most F2P friendly sandbox shooter ever, I spent no money to max out heroes or to beat stacks of whales; skill is all it takes to climb the ladder. Auto fire got your back if you are also a "thumbs only" player, you get to train all you want as there is no "energy system", and no paywall unbalances the everchanging meta. A heftier playerbase is all we need to tweak matchmaking and become an E-Sport.

I see you is a great game that does all the aspects of a thriller game right. Great and engaging story with emotions, unique and fun gameplay. Overall it's quite a good game to play and enjoy. Certainly deserves more recognition, the devs did a good job with it. Definately deserves your vote in the Playfest.

I am telling you the games that are in Playfest are all so great. Another pair of great games. For this round Prime of Flames takes the W. It had great story and great game play, though Bright Reaper used a game mechanics for their game play that's not common and it is fun, i think prime of flames due to its engaging story and nice look took the W. The do deserve it but bright reaper in its own right a fun game.

Prime of Flames is a wargame/rougelike hybrid with tons of charm in its design. Initially released on Steam just last December, the version I'm reviewing now is the demo for its mobile port. Off-the-bat, the character designs got me hooked! There's just something in how each character was drawn. In my opinion, they're just so pleasing to the eye! And it's not just the characters. The entire game itself is designed to look a bit like it was a storybook fantasy.

In the heat of the Pocket Playfest, Round 3's fiery face-off has drawn to a close. The battleground was intense, with Prime of Flames and Bright Reappear squaring off. With a dramatic twist of events, Prime of Flames (with 4410 votes) emerged as the victor, extinguishing its rival, Bright Reappear (with 2961 votes). Premise of the game is great, playing as a blind guy is a unique perspective for me. The devs know how to set the atmosphere and how to use the audio to their advantage, the small light and almost all edges of the player is dark, making it seem like something might suddenly pop up, and footsteps of the monster is also visible and making the monster have visible outline if shot, which is a nice touch. Only problem is... My game bugged whenever I'm on the 2nd floor which is a shame.

Pocket Playfest: An Indie Celebration 2023 Winter Edition In a recent hands-on exclusive experience this past weekend, I had the privilege of testing a handful of titles on TapTap's experimental cloud gaming service, setting the stage for this 16-day event where indie game developers show-off their creations exclusively on the TapTap mobile platform — fully playable PC games without the need for an actual PC, Android/iOS version, or the need to download the games and install them.  Granted, you’d need to have a reliable internet service to be able to stream these games, and preferably are located in US and Canada for consistent play and latency, at least for now.

The gameplay was surprisingly fun, and can be a bit challenging. You have to carefully  place the turrets, mind your positioning and using your tools to your advantage. The pixel graphic was very nice and the music was pretty good. The presentation of the story was.. okay and the plot was kinda predictable, but it's still pretty enjoyable imho. Biggest downside was the control. It's not that bad, but it could be much better.
