Prime of Flames is a wargame/rougelike hybrid with tons of charm in its design. Initially released on Steam just last December, the version I'm reviewing now is the demo for its mobile port. Off-the-bat, the character designs got me hooked! There's just something in how each character was drawn. In my opinion, they're just so pleasing to the eye! And it's not just the characters. The entire game itself is designed to look a bit like it was a storybook fantasy.

✨Overview Core Devourer is an upcoming rogue-lite survival top-down shooter of what seems like a mash up of two of the best rogue-like games in the genre: Risk of Rain 2 and Vampire Survivors. I tested the Demo recently — and with the limited gameplay I experienced, I can say there is indeed potential in this game, if they can get the pacing and the  mechanics right upon release. ⭐️Score: 7/10 Pocket Playfest: An Indie Celebration 2023 Winter Edition

A fast-paced bullet hell game. Gotta be honest, this genre barely does it for me since I'm more of a strategy game fan. Still, this game is great in what it does. The graphics are vibrant and it can get kinda hectic when there's a boss battle. I'm sure bullet hell fans can find this title enjoyable when it releases in full.

Not the first RPG/Roguelike I've played. There are several similar to this one from those that I remember. But here the music is a masterpiece.  Damn she's really good. I don't know why I liked her so much. Very pleasant. Only for the sake of this music you can come back again and again.

This is a weirdly good game. It has a few issues, but it's worthy. The story is interesting and intriguing. But there's some things that I didn't like. For example, some actions should trigger some dialogue from the protagonist, like when he finds a gun in the bathtub. He just grabs it and nothing is said about it, never. The gameplay is a little... unique. Playing as blind is a good justification for the game minimalist design and adds to the story's misters. But even him being blind doesn't justify his lack of aim. I couldn't understand how, or even if there was a way, to aim before shooting.

The art style is cinematic and storytelling is next-level. The plot revolves around a mysterious black flower, sparking a 27-year tale of love and hate. Even though this is just a demo, Dwerve Prologue is a game that's full of potential. It has an art style reminiscent of old Zelda games which really does it for me. Character design is also great in my books. Each character I've come across so far had a certain charm with them. Story is intriguing, to say the least. The gameplay is also easy enough to understand but really challenging to master especially when waves of enemies hone on your location.

The Symphony of Challenge:🤜🤛 "Concerto on White" presents a daunting challenge, akin to mastering a musical instrument. Pocket Playfest: An Indie Celebration 2023 Winter Edition In a recent hands-on exclusive experience this past weekend, I had the privilege of testing a handful of titles on TapTap's experimental cloud gaming service, setting the stage for this 16-day event where indie game developers show-off their creations exclusively on the TapTap mobile platform — fully playable PC games without the need for an actual PC, Android/iOS version, or the need to download the games and install them.  Granted, you’d need to have a reliable internet service to be able to stream these games, and preferably are located in US and Canada for consistent play and latency, at least for now.

Blade of God 2: Orisols is a 3D hack’n’slash RPG that clearly is an expy of the Soulsborne genre. The moment you boot up the game and are greeted with the game’s aesthetic, the inspiration Blade of God 2 takes from Fromsoftware’s games is readily apparent. Definitely not a bad game and has potential but the aforementioned problems definitely need to be fixed in my opinion in order for modern gamers to really get into the game easily.
