Blade of God 2: Orisols is a 3D hack’n’slash RPG that clearly is an expy of the Soulsborne genre. The moment you boot up the game and are greeted with the game’s aesthetic, the inspiration Blade of God 2 takes from Fromsoftware’s games is readily apparent. Going in, I thought this was just an Infinitode clone. Boy, am I glad I was wrong! Refractor is a pixel tower defense game with the idea that you could influence the path that the enemies would walk through. Personally, I like the art style. There's really just something nostalgic with pixel-art games that really draws me in. With regards to the game mechanics, it really is just a tower defense game with a few innovations. Each turret you build has a set of random neutral tiles that can serve as the enemies pathway. This game element is what really drives the strategy here since you have to be careful in placing turrets if you also want to extend the enemies path to the end portal.

The demo turned out to be a bit small😅 We are simply thrown into the game and fight, die, repeat.
