I’ve been working on a new unit for my cat lane strategy game Claws of Power – a grab-and-smash mech cat – and I wanted to share some of my test footage. One scene is a straight duel against my current strongest DPS, the Gatling cat Bard. The mech locks on, shoots out a claw to drag Bard into range, and then just stands there trading hits until one of them goes down. It’s basically “high cost vs high DPS” to see who melts first.

I’m working on a small cat lane-strategy game called Claws of Power, and this unit is based on a Chinese street cat I see a lot in real life. In game it can open with a long-range flying kick, then swap to quick punches once it gets in your face, so it plays somewhere between a ranged and melee fighter. Sometimes it looks very smart, sometimes it just yeets itself into danger—but that’s also why I like it.
