Understanding the Kravik Lyre: From Viking History to Modern Performance

For centuries, the sounds of the Norse people were thought to be lost to time. However, thanks to meticulous archaeological reconstructions, the Kravik Lyre has returned to the hands of modern bards. Today, finding a high-quality kravik lyre for sale is the first step for many into the world of historical performance. Historical Significance The original Kravik Lyre is one of the most important musical finds in Northern Europe. It tells us that music was an integral part of life in medieval Norway, used for storytelling, rituals, and entertainment. Modern replicas aim to capture that exact spirit, using the same proportions found in the historical artifacts. Choosing the Right Instrument If you are a beginner looking to purchase your first lyre, here are a few things to keep in mind: Materials: Look for spruce or pine soundboards. These woods "age" musically, meaning they sound better the more they are played. Tuning Stability: Ensure the tuning pegs are fitted precisely. This is a common issue with cheap replicas. Portability: The Kravik Lyre is known for being lightweight. It’s an ideal companion for travelers and street performers. The Modern Folk Revival From the compositions of Einar Selvik to the atmospheric tracks of Wardruna, the Kravik Lyre has become the "voice" of the North. Its ability to evoke emotion with just a few notes is why so many musicians are now looking for a kravik lyre for sale to add to their studio setup. Where to Start Your Journey? It is crucial to buy from a source that respects the history and the science of acoustics. Scandic Instruments is a leader in this niche, providing instruments that are visually stunning and musically superior. Their Kravik models are designed for both professional recording and personal enjoyment.

I tried winning with nothing but Bacon Jack🐱💥

I’m working on a small cat lane strategy game called Claws of Power, and this was one of those test runs that felt either very smart or very stupid. I didn’t summon anything at the start. I just sat there, let the enemy walk all the way toward my base, and kept saving dried fish. Then right before things got out of control, I started spamming Bacon Jack only. Bacon Jack is the cheapest melee cat in the game, so normally he’s just disposable frontline material. But this time they all had gear and accessories on, and once enough of them piled up, the whole lane turned into a tiny screaming swarm. It doesn’t always work. If your fish income isn’t high enough, you either run out of fish halfway through or your base dies before the swarm even forms. But when it works, it’s very funny. I also uploaded the full clip here: https://youtu.be/OJmMGAEmeZ8 And if you want to try the game itself, there’s a free demo of Claws of Power on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3998900/_/ 🐾

Claws of Power – My 7-Fish Samurai Cat Akagoro

I’m working on a little cat lane strategy game called Claws of Power, and recently I finished a new unit I’m pretty happy with: the samurai cat Akagoro. He costs 7 dried fish, so most of the time he’s just standing in the hand looking lazy with his straw hat on while you save up. The idea is that he’s one of those “okay, now it’s worth spending everything” kind of units. His first attack is the fun part: he pauses for a moment, then flash-dashes forward and does a quick iai-style slash. That opening hit usually closes the gap and deletes one target in one go. After that he settles into a more normal melee rhythm, but that first cut is meant to feel like a classic single clean samurai strike. One gif I recorded is just a simple 1v1 test, the other is Akagoro in an actual stage after you unlock him, so you can see how he behaves in a real wave. I also put a short video here if you want to see the full clip: Claws of Power – Meet “Akagoro”, the 7-Fish Samurai Cat https://youtu.be/-Gbm6seDa-U And if you’re curious about the game itself, there’s a free demo of Claws of Power on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3998900/_/ 🐾 If anything about his damage/timing looks off to you, feel free to tell me – I’m still tuning his numbers.

I thought this run was dead… then the base survived on 1 HP

I’m working on a small cat lane strategy game called Claws of Power, and these GIFs are from a chapter 4 run I was sure I had already lost. The base was basically at 1 HP, but it somehow still turned into a clear. The main setup here is MK-350 + Gatling Bard. MK-350 goes in first, tanks damage, and when it breaks the pilot John gets thrown out and keeps fighting. If he survives long enough, he can get back into the mech again. Bard just stands behind and pumps out damage. The risky part is that I let the enemy walk all the way to my base first, then only start dropping units and items at the last second. If the timing is even a little off, the run just ends. This time it barely worked. Full run: https://youtu.be/sHX72DAv_xY Steam demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3998900/_/ 🐾

30s of Kung Paw – Chinese street cat from my game

I’m working on a small cat lane-strategy game called Claws of Power, and this unit is based on a Chinese street cat I see a lot in real life. In game it can open with a long-range flying kick, then swap to quick punches once it gets in your face, so it plays somewhere between a ranged and melee fighter. Sometimes it looks very smart, sometimes it just yeets itself into danger—but that’s also why I like it. Full clip is here if you want to see the whole move set: 30s of Kung Paw: Watch This Chinese Cat Demolish Everything! https://youtu.be/w2YJ5j2UXf4 There’s also a free Steam demo of Claws of Power if you feel like trying it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3998900/_/ 🐾

When the Whole Kitchen Marches to the Front Line (Chef Cat)

I’m working on a small cat lane strategy game called Claws of Power, and lately I’ve been testing this new unit: Chef Cat. He’s not really a fighter by design – tall chef hat, white coat, frying pan in hand. As long as he doesn’t have to hit anyone, he’ll just stand there and “cook” fresh dried fish on the battlefield, slowly boosting your income over time. The fun (and kind of dumb) part is stacking him: more chefs → more fish → more cats → even more chefs… At some point it really feels like you dragged the entire kitchen onto the lane. Of course, if your frontline collapses, the whole kitchen evaporates in two seconds, so it’s a very greedy way to play. If you want to see him in motion, I cut a short video here: When I Brought the Whole Kitchen – Chef Cat in Claws of Power https://youtu.be/DND3FzmbDQE There’s also a free demo of Claws of Power on Steam if you feel like trying it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3998900/_/ 🐾

Insomniac Says No to Live-Service Games: A Focus on Narrative-Driven Experiences Staying True to Their Roots In an era dominated by live-service games and recurring monetization models, Insomniac Games has made a bold decision: to stay true to its narrative-driven roots. Known for their storytelling prowess, as exemplified in critically acclaimed titles like *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2*, the studio has chosen to prioritize single-player, story-centric experiences over the ever-popular games-as-a-service trend.

🛑 2v2 🍼 Warzone Mobile

Watch the handcam gameplay here: 2v2 / Aim Assist Off 🍼 Four Finger Claw Subscribe to my YouTube channel: Karbi Steel Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile delivers a true Warzone-style battle royale experience on smartphones, with familiar mechanics like Gulag, loadouts, and large-scale matches that feel close to the PC/console version. The gameplay is fast-paced and enjoyable, with solid controls and cross-progression adding value for existing COD players. However, the game has struggled with inconsistent performance, including frame drops, heating issues, and bugs—especially on many Android devices—which affected its overall reception. While it’s a strong concept and fun in short sessions, optimization problems and lack of long-term support held it back, ultimately leading to its shutdown in April 2026 after failing to meet expectations with mobile-first players

Solo-dev indie game – Claws of Power (^_^) meow…

Hi, I’m Garlic Sprout. I used to work as a game artist, and now I’m making my own little indie project called “Claws of Power”. It’s a card-based real-time lane strategy game about cats: you spend dried fish to summon different cats, build your lineup, and try to push down the enemy base. At first glance it looks very simple, but with cat skills, timing and equipment builds, there’s actually quite a bit to play around with. If you’d like to experience the joy of commanding an army of cats powered by dried fish, you can find the game on Steam by searching “Claws of Power”, try the free demo, and leave your thoughts if you feel like it.
