I’m working on a small cat lane strategy game called Claws of Power, and lately I’ve been testing this new unit: Chef Cat. He’s not really a fighter by design – tall chef hat, white coat, frying pan in hand. As long as he doesn’t have to hit anyone, he’ll just stand there and “cook” fresh dried fish on the battlefield, slowly boosting your income over time. The fun (and kind of dumb) part is stacking him: more chefs → more fish → more cats → even more chefs… At some point it really feels like you dragged the entire kitchen onto the lane. Of course, if your frontline collapses, the whole kitchen evaporates in two seconds, so it’s a very greedy way to play. I just sat there, let the enemy walk all the way toward my base, and kept saving dried fish. Then right before things got out of control, I started spamming Bacon Jack only. Bacon Jack is the cheapest melee cat in the game, so normally he’s just disposable frontline material. But this time they all had gear and accessories on, and once enough of them piled up, the whole lane turned into a tiny screaming swarm. It doesn’t always work. If your fish income isn’t high enough, you either run out of fish halfway through or your base dies before the swarm even forms. But when it works, it’s very funny.
