I had the chance to test the Delta Force Mobile beta, and after several hours of gameplay, here’s my detailed review of what the game has to offer. Is it still too rough at this stage? --- ➖ Graphics – ★★★★☆ Visually, Delta Force Mobile performs quite well for a mobile game. The environments are detailed, the weapon models are decent, and the lighting effects are convincing. Explosions and shadow effects, in particular, add realism to the firefights. However, performance isn't always smooth, especially on older devices. Some textures also take a while to load.

One of the fun parts of making my own game is that sometimes I can just take a character vibe I really like and turn it into a cat. So this time I made a new unit for Claws of Power called Wade. Dark outfit, glowing red blade, very obvious “space villain” energy. He’s not just there for looks, though. In battle he can use the red blade to block incoming ranged attacks, which makes him really funny to watch against archers and gunners. He also has a pull / gravity-like skill that drags enemies from farther away right into melee range, so once they get close, he can start bullying them properly. The whole thing is still hand-drawn frame by frame, and these GIFs are from my current test build. I’m still tuning him, but he’s already one of those units that feels very satisfying when everything lines up. I’m making a small indie game called Claws of Power. A big part of the starting point for this game was those old lane-push browser games, especially Age of War. I always thought that kind of gameplay was weirdly addictive, and also had more room to be explored than most games ever did with it. So I ended up making my own version of that feeling — but with cats. At the core, it’s still a single-lane push game: you spend dried fish to summon units, they walk forward automatically, fight on the lane, and whoever destroys the enemy base first wins. But I’ve been trying to build more around that loop: different cat skills, items, equipment, timing, positioning, and more ways to actually make decisions instead of just spamming units. I still don’t know the perfect genre name for this kind of game. It’s a bit lane strategy, a bit tower defense, a bit RTS, and a bit chaotic auto-battle nonsense. Whatever the label is, this is basically my attempt to take that old Age of War style and push it in my own direction.
