I’m working on a small cat lane strategy game called Claws of Power, and lately I’ve been testing this new unit: Chef Cat. He’s not really a fighter by design – tall chef hat, white coat, frying pan in hand. As long as he doesn’t have to hit anyone, he’ll just stand there and “cook” fresh dried fish on the battlefield, slowly boosting your income over time. The fun (and kind of dumb) part is stacking him: more chefs → more fish → more cats → even more chefs… At some point it really feels like you dragged the entire kitchen onto the lane. Of course, if your frontline collapses, the whole kitchen evaporates in two seconds, so it’s a very greedy way to play. On the surface it’s very simple, but a lot of the fun comes from timing, cost management, and how you mix units and items. A few cats I personally use a lot: Masashi (ninja cat) – when he meets the first enemy, he teleports behind them and keeps walking. He’s great for slipping past the frontline and going straight for the backline or even the base.

I’m a solo dev working on a small cat lane strategy game called Claws of Power. You spend dried fish to summon different cats, line them up, and try to break the enemy base. These gifs are from a later vampire boss fight. The boss appears out of a swarm of bats, then walks forward with the wave, throwing out black energy orbs and lightning that can pretty much erase your frontline if your timing is bad. On my side it’s mainly the Gatling muscle cat plus Nuba (the blue tiger cat) trying to clean up the lane and slowly push toward him. The other gif is just a little interaction I really like: a tiny knight cat jumps onto a big tank cat and rides along, stabbing away while the big one eats all the damage in front.
