I’m a solo dev working on a small cat lane strategy game called Claws of Power, and lately I’ve been focusing a lot on the out-of-match progression instead of just the battles. Right now there are a few main pieces: The base can be upgraded to increase its HP. A lot of players (including me) tend to ignore it at first and just go full offense, but some people like stacking base HP and playing more “hold and counter” style. Later I want to give the base its own talents, like blocking one big hit, reflecting damage, or even adding small turrets.

The characters felt junky in some old gameplay, but I feel the dev team already fixed that. And please, let’s not talk about the character models, because if we talk about that, then look at the Blood Strike game characters. The game map also feels random. I can see the houses and stuff don’t look and feel like they are in the right place, so that needs some work. But this upcoming test is about the 5v5 modes, so let’s wait and see what this alpha shows us, because this can change my opinion very fast. I am just hungry for good games. I am not going to talk about all the characters because that will make this video long, and we don’t need that video now. But I am still concerned about the game’s graphic style. I hope that is not going to disappoint me. Now just wait for a week, and I will share the gameplay and what I think if I get the test.
