SHOULD I PLAY RIFTSTORM? You can safely skip Riftstorm for the time being. As it enters early access, this twin-stick shooter is extremely light on content, but beyond that, it’s not doing anything particularly interesting. You’ll head out on missions through bland, procedurally generated levels in which the object is to kill everything in each room before proceeding to the next, and possibly finding some power-ups along the way. The early build I played included four total missions, and while I’m sure that number will increase in time, there’s not much that sets the ones we already have apart from each other.

Is what I truly want to say, but with the current condition of the playtest, I can't. I don't see much change to the game for a while because almost every Early Access game that comes out has some issue with actually making the game functional. Then there's the wait from release day to full release day, during which nothing much changes with the work. If any are created, it is usually one or two additional maps or characters before the project is either abandoned indefinitely or takes far too long to complete and new items cover it up when it is finally completed.

Riftstorm is a top down coop shooter that sends you to far off worlds to fight supernatural creatures in search for loot. The game right now is in pre-alpha and has a long way to go, but the bones look good and I believe this is one we should keep tabs on. I received this key from the devs through Keymailer.
