中華生僻字是以中國傳統文字為主題，遊戲結合了中國春夏秋冬的元素，以文字來作為9宮格拼圖的載體來表現遊戲內容。遊戲分別分為鄉試，會試，殿試來模擬古代書生科舉之路。魚作為中國傳統文化比較重要的元素，在遊戲裡面貫穿，點擊場景中游動的魚，獲得遊戲的貨幣-魚幣。通過魚幣來購買更多的字體和特色皮膚，比如大篆，九疊字。子曰：“溫故而知新，可以為師矣。”孔子說：“複習舊的知識從而得到新的理解與體會，憑藉這一點就可以成為老師了。”遊戲中的字典這個功能很好的體現這點，在解鎖的關卡對應的文字的內容會出現在字典中讓玩家可以去溫習。隨著網絡的發展，越來越多的人忽視了傳統文字，對於文字的熟悉度也越來越低，中華生僻字希望通過遊戲方式讓更多人去了解中國的文字，傳承中國的文字，真正實現寓教於樂，傳承文化。
