《金色琴弦》系列是以古典音樂為題材，講述高中生主角與同年代男子們一起為音樂夢想努力拼搏，並逐漸加深彼此羈絆的育成模擬遊戲。本作的舞台將不再局限在玩家熟悉的星奏學院，更將擴展至日本全國和全世界。除了玩家熟悉的系列作角色，全新的角色也將於遊戲中登場，而系列作原有聲優陣容也將在本作繼續出演。
