《物理世界》是一款節奏輕快的橫版解密遊戲。操作方式簡單，主要按鍵只有4個。 A和D操控角色左右移動，空格鍵跳躍，F鍵與物品交互。遊戲目標是讓粉筆人碰到閃亮的粉色對號方塊。場景中有各種五顏六色物理公式，這些公式代表著一些物理規則，玩家可以通過與場景中物品交互來改變這些物理公式，通過改變常見的物理規則來創造對自己有利的情景，比如改變重力的方向讓自己能在天花板上移動，改變摩擦力的大小以推動非常重的物體等等。每個公式有自己的顏色，公式只能控制與它顏色相同的物體的物理規則。
