Steam's Bypass of Approval Process Vietnam has banned Steam, with speculation suggesting it's due to Valve's business operations or complaints from local developers about Steam's vast portfolio overshadowing domestic games. A spokesperson for one of the domestic publishers alleges Steam can release games in the country without government approval. However, Vietnamese game makers cannot side-step the compliance process.
