Hello Neighbor 2 isn’t a great game. I would think that the developers at Eerie Guest would take every chance to improve upon the lackluster original Hello Neighbor, which came out in 2017. I’ve always found this series’s stealthy premise enticing, but I’ve avoided it because of the bad buzz. That is until I tried out Hello Neighbor: Diaries earlier this year for our stealth games collection. When I played the original Hello Neighbor back in 2018, It was an intriguing family friendly puzzle stealth horror that was as frustrating as it exhilarating. Hello Neighbor 2 largely maintains the same formula, improving many mechanics from the first game but at the same time never really getting rid of the frustration factor.
