Développé par Upstream Arcade, Hellboy Web of Wyrd recrée fidèlement le style propre au chef-d'œuvre original de Mike Mignola. Tout comme dans les Comics, le jeu fera vivre à Hellboy une série d'aventures aussi uniques que différentes dans des histoires indépendantes mais toutes liées au mystérieux héritage de la Maison papillon.
Bâtie en 1962 par l'ésotériste Pasquale Deneveaux, la Maison papillon est bien plus qu'un simple manoir : c'est un portail. Construits sur des énergies telluriques, son étrange aménagement et ses géométries non euclidiennes ont été conçus avec un lugubre objectif en tête : créer des passages menant à une dimension aussi terrible que fascinante appelée le Wyrd.
Évoluez pied à pied (ou plutôt sabot à sabot) parmi une ménagerie de créatures cauchemardesques et d'homoncules tandis que vous explorez les royaumes du Wyrd. Le système de combat a été conçu pour créer des affrontements difficiles qui encouragent l'apprentissage des schémas d'attaque des ennemis. Esquivez, parez et, bien sûr, fracassez vos ennemis pour les renvoyer dans le néant.

SHOULD I PLAY HELLBOY WEB OF WYRD?
If you’re not a die-hard Hellboy fan, you should probably skip this one. Hellboy Web of Wyrd looks like a B.P.R.D. comic brought to life. It’s got spectacular visuals and excellent voice acting (including a lead performance from the late, great Lance Reddick), but it’s just not very fun to play. The sluggish combat and buggy gameplay sapped most of the fun out this game.

We're pretty stoked for the upcoming new Hellboy game, Hellboy: Web of Wyrd. I mean, just look at this thing in action in the trailer above. It looks like the pages of Hellboy artist Mike Mignola's artwork come to life. If they can pull it off and make it fun, it's going to be killer.
Unfortunately, though, we got news today that we'll have to wait just a little bit longer to find out whether they pulled it off or not. Originally planned to launch on October 4, Hellboy: Web of Wyrd has been pushed back two weeks to an October 18 release.
