Knightingale is a JRPG mobile game with rogue-like elements by Netease, featuring a perfect blend of classic pixel elements and stunning medieval fantasy art style. My first impression of this game was almost like a mobile version of Octopath Traveler. Closed beta test starts today until July 17. This test has no limit on the number of participants. Gameplay The world in Knightingale is totally non-linear. You may go wherever you'd like. Also, members from your party can be switched out at any time, this will be well into the game. You can set out on your journey with a character you love.The in-game world is quite large and contains several different locations for you to explore. Treasure chests and some hidden blinking spots are available for rewards. Upon entering a town, you will be able to visit different buildings and people.However, while there are a lot of villagers in each region and a seemingly great number of places to explore, this isn't helped anything by the line or two of dialogue they've been given straight out of a generic 1990s JRPG.
