Though I love the indie developer, as an editor I should stand neutral, but when I experienced the game, I must say —— masterpiece.
I find it hard to imagine that this was made by a single collage student, did you spend 6 years on it like the developer of Gorogoa?
I can’t believe it’s a graduate design, I must say, so talented. Top-class visual performance, dynamic particle effects make it very artistic and aesthetic. It’s a puzzle game, but it uses a magic way which we may call pareidolia to slove them. Like, combine a lamp with a lifter. Sorry for my poor expression ability. You can see the trailer to know how it works. I was captivated.
And when it comes to puzzle games, it's hard to adjust the difficulty. If it’s too hard, except for some hardcore gamers, like me. 😄Most players would probably give up easily. If it’s too easy and it tends to become boring and turn into a "casual mini-game". It seems that Moncage finds a good solution. The puzzles themselves are creative and require the player to use their imagination and brainstorm, which makes it interesting and a little more difficult, but the clues or points are clearly given. So even you get stuck. When you get the hint and you will have a sense of "Oh, so it works like this"
You would collect the photograph throughout the game. They would form the inner narrative. Each photograph is like a fragment of memory. Those fragmented memories tell the game story and it looks like someone’s lifetime. I probably look some of them but didn't understand all of them.
Arguably the two best puzzle games I've played in years on phone, the another is Tale of Neon Sea. Both in terms of the gameplay he shows and the content he carries, it's so brilliantly done in every way that I really can't help but praise it.

Moncage was actually the developer's own graduation work, which won various awards for indie games when it was a demo in 2019.
The developer says that the game was inspired by Gorogoa, The Witness, Looksley's Line Up.

An absolute masterpiece, The Neon graphics, sound effects and the story everything is literally too perfect. There is no such thing as an in app purchase and it's absolutely not pay 2 win. Here is something that I wanna say, : If the game is not pay to win, then it comes under one of the best games in the world. There are puzzles but beleive me , They are not like the others. The puzzles share a unique style and concept. The fact that you don't even get bored doing these puzzles are insane. Normally, whenever you fail to do a puzzle, you get frustrated and lose interest. But the puzzles in here, They are next level. It's not a game full of puzzle, the game takes place in futuristic city in 2140 and it's a society where animals, robots, humans and cyborgs live together. The city is so sci-fi even though the graphics are pixelized. The amount of details and design in the game is just insane and The graphics are so perfect. It contains an amazing story and you can even interract with NPC's including animals. The main character interracts with many people and his environment which makes the game a lot better. You investigate crimes, Collect clues and there's a lot of things that you can do. The controls are good and you can switch between swipe or button controls any time. No surprise that this game won multiple Indie awards. This is the one review that you need to read as I've explained everything about the game and its features, Graphics, Details and story.Just try it out, This is the most perfect game that you never get bored of.
