Mudoku: Chinese Woodcraft is a project that we have developed with our hearts and souls for four years.
In this game, we would like to explore the possibilities - to pass on and promote traditional culture, to show the wisdom and craftsmanship of traditional mortise and tenon using new media. Let more young people learn about mortise and tenon, let the world understand the wisdom of craftsmen, and feel the beauty of Chinese culture.
We believe that cultural treasures will shine no matter what era they are in. Together with you, we hope to continue this doctrine.

Mudoku: Chinese Woodcraft on display at the Guimet Museum
Dearest Artisans,
The game was first displayed outside of China at the 2018 Next Idea Creativity Contest held at the louvre, France. The contest invited young Chinese artists to compete, stipulating contestants to use the image of the Mona Lisa for their pieces. Over 100 designs were submitted. Mudoku: Chinese Woodcraft was one of the pieces on display. This marked the first time the game was featured in Europe.

I actually build GunPla models and Warhammer miniatures in my spare time, and Mudoku just resonates with me. I thought it was just another ordinary puzzle game, but boy, is it not.
The game itself is quite unique, so a huge plus on that part, as players get to build Chinese woodworks which range from the simple to the more complicated. Players are given some wood and instructions how to build certain items, and they must cut and assemble them piece-by-piece. To be honest, all this feels a lot like building my Warhammer 40,000 and GunPla models... but with wood... and in a video game.

Hats off, developers who make paid games like this, focus on niche, are really rarer than unicorns these days. I hope you can feed your team.
Overall I love the game concept, it make me the feeling of going to a museum, you can experience a lot of artistic things. The game requires a strong spatial imagination, I thought it was too easy for being a woodworker at first, then I was dumbfounded after facing the following challenges, it's really hard. (I remember doing this kind of spatial geometry was not my strong point when i was a student)
