1K View2021-11-04Major news! The highly anticipated Server vs Server game mode—Legion of Frostborne—is arriving with Version 1.7.
In this game mode, Lords from different servers will journey to the frozen lands of the North and fight a massive war with the aim of occupying Gnome's Capital.
Legion of Frostborne will take place on an independent map, covering a region that extends out from Norheim's Frozen Realm. There, beyond Harold's Ice Wall, roam the vengeful Gnomes who are plotting their comeback. What does this map look like? Here are some clues:
1. The map is roughly square-shaped.
2. The map is divided into three concentric Resource Zones.
3. The outermost Resource Zone is further divided into eight provinces.
4. Checkpoints sit between Resource Zones and provinces, connecting them together.

Greetings Commanders!
Recently, we’ve introduced a new map, Lost Stronghold, which has been warmly received by players (for which we are truly thankful!). To that end, we’ve decided to shed some light on the secrecy and tell you how our developers come up with ideas like this and where they get their inspiration from.
Warming up
It’s no secret that our team is a big fan of the Company of Heroes. It would be odd if we didn’t investigate the experience of other fans of the game and look into the hundreds of maps created by CoH players for multiplayer battles. The level designer had explored literally every map there, before articulating the vision of our new one.
