Games worth discovering
Acid Rain World: Gray Dawn
2K View2021-11-12Ok so there's a a million of games out there with this exact same game structure. So there's nothing new in the gameplay mechanics.
But for some reason this one really put the hook in me.
Full disclosure I've been a fan of the Acid Rain World for some time although I've never collected the 1/18 scale action figures. I've develed into the lore and it's pretty interesting. Kit Lau has a fantastic product and so why not back it up with a mobile phone game.
In this game the storyline is plausible and the skirmishing around the zone is pretty well thought-out. The storytelling keeps pace with the advances in your skill tree as the new toys become available.
For anyone thats played a base builder game with resource management there's a huge risk with games like this of being too generic in its execution.
Gray Dawn uses a generic game system that has been replicated many times over that's almost pre made for fan service.
Why any particular franchise would want to adopt this system with a copy paste skin job over an existing game structure, like this one, is beyond me. I say that because it's a system that's been successfully replicated in dozens of games already available on the Play store. But hey don't let that stop you from trying to be unique in a sea of clones.
I have no doubt that the men and women who worked on this title are obviously fans of Acid Rain World and that really shows. There's a lot of hard work that went into this and they should be commended for their efforts.
So I like it and as such i'm giving it 4 stars because it's my guilty pleasure and while I don't think it will be everyone elses cup of tea so fairly warned, but do give it a go, maybe you'll see the joy that I do.

📖 Storyline: NetEase often always churns out quality and well-made titles... with immersive intros and solid stories! Nothing at all here.. but you can perceive the nothingness right away.. I'll tell you honestly, it didn't strike me or stun me on an emotional level, I was simply disappointed by the little study of the scenarios which appear spartan and poorly cared for, for what offer smaller titles such as Combat Gun, with a multiplayer FPS that fails to fully immerse me in those immersive and action-packed games as well as Call of Duty. I would say that this is a rough copy of a masterpiece. Lots of rumors and... then rubbish passed off as innovation. We are not! We are demanding gamers and we want more commitment from you... graphics that are at PS1 levels!

Its a "war game" the one where u can "invade" other ppland gather resourse(s). Im really dissappointed in the "war game" decision. I watch the video by "Gaming Mobile" on youtube and got hooked but when I play it...ITS SO BAD. Here's some of the problem:
1. P2W : its a "war game" what do you expect? either spend more money so u win or die trying as F2P (in arena too)
2. dry gameplay : you can skip most of gameplay, no stategy needed, you just need an OP character (that u gotta buy)
