Did you realize the differences in the interface between Metal Revolution and traditional fighting games? Like how the up key isn't a jump key. In the coming section, I'll be teaching you all about the metal ropes!
1. Game Interface Showcase
The game interface is shown as below:
These are the basic interface elements. Background, character, avatar, name, HP, energy bar, and keys.

Other than the basic buttons, you can also set your emojis in the game in Settings. To maintain a friendly gaming environment, try to curb the taunt meta a little, maybe? (Wink)
2. Keys Showcase
The interface can be divided into two parts—the virtual joystick used for player movement is on the left, while the function buttons are on the right.
(1) Joystick
The left key and right key are used for movement. Up key and down key must be used with function buttons (The up key is not used for jumping and the down key is not used for crouching).
You can configure the joystick according to your preference in Settings. There are 3 modes for you to choose from:
TapTap
 Virtual Joystick: Drag the joystick to move.

TapTap
Touch pad: Tap the pad to move.
TapTap
 Separate Keys: Tap the 4 separate keys to move.
(2) Function Button
There are 5 function buttons:
X for Normal Attack. Press repeatedly to use combos;
TapTap
 Y for Special Attack. No combos;
TapTap
A for Jump, can be used to perform forward jump and back jump with left key and right key;
TapTap
B for Dodge. Spend 1 unit of energy bar to perform forward dodge and back dodge with left key and right key;
TapTap
RB for Special/Ultimate. Regular Special/Ultimate costs 3 units of energy bar; when in low HP, press ↓+RB to spend 5 units of Block and unleash MAX Move, causing heavy damage.
TapTap
You can unleash other interesting skills using key combinations (Please refer to Characters for more combos). Try discovering more of them!
(3) Custom Mode
You can customize the interface in Screen Layout Settings according to your preference. The position, scale, and transparency of the joystick and all the buttons can be adjusted freely.
TapTap
3. How to perform Basic Combos
Charged Jump, Overdrive Dash, Forced Landing, Parry, and Anti-air Attack.
(1) Charged Jump, Overdrive Dash, Forced Landing
These three moves are performed by pressing B (Dodge Button).
Charged Jump: Press ↑+B to perform long-distance forward jump, costing 1 unit of Energy. Back Charged Jump is temporarily deactivated.
Overdrive Dash: Press ↓+B to perform long-distance forward dodge, costing 2 units of energy bar. You can cancel any moves with this, but you can't dodge backward with this.
TapTap
Forced Landing: Press ↓+B when jumping to land quickly from the air, costing 2 units of energy bar.
TapTap
(2) Parry
One of the core techniques in Metal Revolution. Press ↓+X before an enemy hits you, costing 1 unit of energy bar. It can be performed when blocking.
A successful parry can expose the weakness of your opponent and recover 2 units of your Energy.
TapTap
TapTap
(3) Anti-air Attack
Press ↑+X to perform Anti-air Attack and counter the enemies in the air or knock them flying. This command applies to all characters.
So these are the basic controls and Mechanics of the game. Every Mecha has its own controls and combos. Stay tuned to the upcoming character tutorial for more information!

Metal Revolution Review: Battle Your Way to the Top
Metal Revolution Review: Battle Your Way to the Top Metal Revolution is a Cyberpunk-style robot-themed arcade fighting game developed by NEXT Studios and Gtarcade that looks great and plays well. It resembles a reskinned version of the Street Fighter games, but with robots, improved visuals, and a few new gameplay elements. Battle it out in a variety of game modes with different fighters, each with their own fighting style.

Metal Revolution gameplay/review
Metal Revolution is a 2D fighter where you get to play as a robot. Think Street Fighter crossed with Real Steel. It has really good graphics and super tight controls. The selection of characters is quite diverse with all of the differing fighting styles and character designs, one of my favorites being Chromeleon. The drawbacks come with the way you obtain fighters. Now I get that it's a free to play game and they gotta make their money somewhere. But the acquiring of free currency to get those characters is pretty slow from my experience. You start with a few characters and a few more on free rotation but there's a ton more that you need to purchase. The cost of the characters combined with the rate you get the free currency can create some frustration, it won't be long before you start itching to buy some paid currency. The good thing is that the really good gameplay is enough for me to stave off that frustration.
